- Benjamin Smet-Cooper (2028 3B, Kenosha, WI) flashed some two-way potential in this one, showcasing his talent at the plate and on the mound. Standing at 5-foot-11, 199 pounds, the big left-handed hitter is your prototypical power-hitting first baseman. Early on in the game, he battled through a long at-bat and was rewarded with a hard-hit single up the middle. He would later hop on the mound, working his fastball up to 78 mph with an 11/5 curveball that showed good depth. #ChicagoIndoor

78 as an 8th grader is underappreciated. I threw 62 in 8th and thought I was going somewhere with that 💀. I am a hs sophomore now and i am up to 84. If you gained 22 mph like me you’d be at 100 😂
I throw 62 as a 7th grader and am still 5'1. do you have any tips for me to gain velo?
@@Insanespeed450stronger legs you dont need to go hard in the gym try standing up from chairs and stuff with just your drive leg
I’m not being a hater but there are some 12 u kids throwing 81 mph but I am in 12u and I average around 65 and have topped at 67
I was there
What’s the name of this ball field?
Gotta have knowledge of the strike zone as a hitter. Swinging at balls is not a long term plan for success at the plate.
I bet it’s extremely difficult to play baseball in a bubble with while walls and roofs
