100% It is impossible to watch Harry perform and not smile and dance along.
Harry is one of those rare artists who is somehow even better live. His heart is rooted in the classics so his more pop catalog still gives a nod to the past. I hope you listen to his full albums as he intended them. We’re so lucky to have him. This is my favorite live of Sign of the Times. Better than the Graham Norton appearance in my opinion.

The energy he brings on stage never fails to impress me. Like this song was his last song after playing a full headlining set on that huge Coachella stage and he was still able to put that much energy into the performance. Insane.
Harry loves to have the microphone stand in the mic with the wire. Wants to do it like the mick Jagger etc. with the mic cord!! Ultimate is Kiwi3x to last show if 1st tour. Amazing!! Worth the watch

Loved the reaction! I used to think the same about Harry and it took some convincing to get me to try listening to his songs. The funny thing is that I immediately loved everything I heard and that really taught me a lesson. Honestly I think I was more open to checking out BTS' music because of the positive surprise with Harry. Anyways some of my favorite songs by HS are Fine Line (kind of a sad feel but I absolutely love it), Woman and Only Angel
He loves every moment when he sings
The wire is part of the act. He loves the wired mic
His debut album "Harry Styles" is rock/classic rock, indie, folk.
If you're looking for more rock then I would check out his song "Only Angle"
He has a Pink Floyd leaning song called "She" which is ends in a 3- min guitar solo from his band mate Mitch.
Harry has 3 solo albums and all three sound different from the other. So the only suggestion I can make is, start with his debut album which is, Rock.
His second album Fine Line is a blend of genres from rock, pop, reggae, folk, R&B/rock.
His third album wouldn't be your cup of tea because it's a Generation X album. It's a low vibe album. So, if "up temp" rock is your thing then "Harry's House" isn't something you'd be into.
The first Track From Harris House has a late 70s early 80s vibe and it's called:
"Music For A Sushi Restaurant"
Track Two:
"Late Night Talking" sounds like a late 70s early 80s R&B roller skating sound
Track Three:
"As It Was" is an 80s synth pop
Stick to Albums 1&2.
I love all three of his albums from the first Track to the last however, album Three is built around an era and genre of music that I grew up on.

Harry is the real deal! So are the other guys from 1D, who all have some great solo music. Niall (Horan) has two albums out which is a mix of poprock and Irish Folk (he an amazingly talented songwriter and vocalist) and Louis (Tomlinson) is also poprock/British rock. Niall is also very influenced by classic rock, loved the Eagles and is good friends with Don Henley.
I think you would also be quite surprised by One Direction, who are far from a typical boyband. First two albums are definitely more pop (with a bit of an edge on some songs). On album 3, they took creative control with a completely different sound. They are such talented singer/songwriters and you hear the rock influence of mostly 70s and 80s in those last 3 albums. Most people snoozed on them (myself included...I am 47 and didn't really listen to them until I became a Harry fan) and damn, wish I hadn't so I could have seen them live!
i absolutely love that heavy instrumental intro that his band does in their live performances before he starts singing this song ❤️ i'd highly recommend you listen to "baby honey" if you like older rock music -- it's a leaked demo of harry's that didn't make the cut for his first album, VERY clearly joe walsh/eagles-inspired, if you're into that type of music!

Unfortunately, the full instrumental was cut off in this video and only got the tail end of it. Sarah (drummer) and Mitch (lead guitar) kill it. I'm sure there are many fan copies of the entire intro.
This song wouldn’t be what it is without Sarah Jones. Harry has said multiple times that he fronts Sarah’s band 😁
Baby Honey and Complicated Freak are rockers. They were written at the same time as Kiwi and Medicine. I love all of them.
He is a lot like BTS in that he is so good live. He has so much charisma! Since you like the more rock songs, I second the recommendation to see Sign of the Times on Graham Norton... all kinds of old school rock vibes. Much of his music is lighter pop and ballad type stuff but once you get hooked on him they are all really good. He puts so much feeling into his singing so they just hit different for me. We saw Harry and BTS last November in LA and they were both amazing concerts!

Definetly 70's rock star vibes from him, can see his influences - I'm sure there's a bit of Bowie as well. Was also surprised, no idea he did rock. This song also reminds me of the Australian band Jet who i used to enjoy ( loved their album Get Born) - did you know/ like their music Bryan? They had a great old rock sound. Enjoyed the sound more than the lyrics. Just watched the MV for this one too, random but really fun and lots of dogs at the end 😁🐕

The thing is … is the variety in his music. I’ve never been a fan of pop, but I do think today’s pop, particularly some of the pared back stuff, is like a golden age (versus the over produced of yesteryear and even just a decade ago). Harry’s pop has great music, which sets it apart from both, and still enjoyable. And then like I mentioned, the variety is there. Cinema sounds like early 80s soft jazz in the best way. Grape Juice is so late 1960s. He has something for everyone.
Give it the chance to One Direction. Try Little black dress

Do yourself a favor and listen to the Fine Line album from start to finish! Enjoy the journey as it's meant to be heard. 🎸🎶🎧🎵

Anyway, he once performed this three times in a row at the end of a show. His energy is insane! He always does the water spitting thing at the end of the song (fans call it the “whale”) but in the 3X performance he faked out the audience, it’s pretty entertaining. :)

Last year in his Love on tour he sang it 3 (or maybe even 4) times in a row. He said to the audience that they would have to kill him to get him off stage. LOL)

Yeah a lot of people have never given 1D or Harry a chance. Preconceived notion of their music because they were a boyband. Love when they find out what they and the music is really like. but their songs do fit the stereotype of boyband songs…. not saying it is good or bad, but it is not ‘far from what you expect from a boyband’.
@@priiifrg They did much more than pop. Their sound was much different. They also didn't do the choreography which is typical of a boyband.
@Priscilla, have you listened to their last three albums?? They absolutely do not fit the stereotype of a boyband at all! Boybands play stadium rock anthems and poprock/Indie rock? None I've ever heard other than One Direction. In fact, it's fun to play their music for others and not tell them who the artist is. They love the music and are stunned to find out it is One Direction.

Great reaction really enjoyed watching this!! I think the thing I love the most about Harry is he is such an entertainer and you can tell he just genuinely loves what he's doing and appreciates every moment. I also enjoy that he touches so many genres and each of his albums sounds so different from one another. Would love to see your reaction to Only Angel and She they also have rock inspiration. Lemon Tree, Love/Hate Letter To Alcohol, Reputation would be the best off that album for a reaction in my opinion. Also his entire nirvana tribute act he did a couple of years ago is a great watch
