@@CowpokeScavI accidentally got the cheiftan advancement on my first Rainworld play through because I kept giving scavengers all of my loot in fear they’d mug me, so yes, friends
@@LocalChaos-8217 i can just imagine a slugcat crawling towards a scav and giving them stuff like "PLEASE DONT STAB ME" and the scav's just going "hi again friend!"
0:45 either they caught themself on a pole further down and denned back up, or the thing about scavs respawning if killed by something other than a player (which I think I've witnessed) is true
Do scavengers really respawn on the same cycle like that? I did not know that creatures don't tend to die in the same room as me and it not be my fault!
@@mir6165 Not everything is guaranteed to respawn the next cycle - some things lineage, some things just miss the respawn chance and have to wait another cycle. However, scavengers, I think, are unique in that they will respawn _in the same cycle_ if killed by a source other than the player.
That skrimisher just saw his whole life flash before him when that lizard grazed his face falling at terminal velocity, then promptly decided he didn't want to see any more of it.
I just realized that scavengers have so many physical variations within their population, like vibrant colours and differently shaped eartlers, which means their DNA is either unstable or consume radiation (presumably from garbage wastes) to cause mutations in them. While no other species in rain world have so much diversity within themselves (other than slugcats showing multiple colours)
Actually, lizards have a lot of diversity too! Even though lizards have specific colors for different species, those colors come in wide ranges- for example, pink lizards can be very purple to nearly red. They all have unique personalities and slightly different physical dimensions controlled by random numbers. Additionally, they can have subtly different aspects of their appearance like different tail shapes on the cyans and different back spines or plates on the greens!
0:47 Maybe the game made the scav go to the off screen den... When vultures fall in a death pit they go to the off screen den (In most cases, they do not when stunned by an echo or crippled) maybe the game gave the scav the same treatment then it walked back into the room. That or its just another scavenger that looks the same.
So the scav den is an off screen den so I think the scagger may have just teleported to off screen den rather then die when it fell which allows it to come back.
Rain world. The only game where just watching the enemies in a single room is more entertaining than most modern tv shows.
Wdym enemies? Aren't we your friends?

Dont worry guys, the room under this one has a huge lake, they will just drop into the water

Scavs have plot armor and can not be truly killed unless it is by the protagonist, the Slugcat. Scavs live off of book plot not reality

@@mir6165 I as well as the comment I replied to both meant them respawning on the same cycle they died on if not killed by the player.

Some people would mistake it for something else lol

Scavengers shouldn't be trusted around big pits.
What do you use to be able to watch them like this?
if you don’t know which room this is, it’s probably VS_H02
