The fact that the bug ran right past Gab to get to John, and this happened after the Bracken ignored Gary to kill John ... I'm starting to think this game has it out for him 😅
When John was doing the classic horror, "Hello? Where is everybody?" in the empty, web-filled hallway and the spider murdered him from the ceiling, it was peak horror comedy.
10:52 yeah. the Craken has weird specific mechanics, it's an ambush predator, it stalks you and tries to kill you from behind, it retreats for a bit if you glance at him, but stare at it and it abandons the ambush approach. So you have to turn around a lot but it raises your paranoia meter.
His friends stared at enough to anger it. They ran away leaving John to suffer his wrath. That's 100% what happened. For anyone curious you can tell the bracken is mad by his growling sound. If he starts growling look away, if his growling gets more intense run.
the Bracken acts like a big cat. you don't want to stare at it too long, you don't want to turn your back on it too long, and you DEFINITELY don't want to corner it. it tends not to back itself into a corner though so I wouldn't worry about that last point. you can even use this knowledge to try to find the way out if you're lost, it's worked a couple times for me.
I love seeing John be silly, playing with duck alone just enjoying it 😂 The constant twerking even though he hates it and the relentless Whoopi cushion play. I love it too much
4 things could happen if Bracken attacks, and you weren't the one staring. 1. Team member stared too long and angered it, and you were closest/in his path. 2. You accidentally corner him, which he does not like (but you'd probably see his eyes, no matter how dark). 3. You did stare at him too long, but again, you'd see his eyes and know you did it. 4. He is a stalking monster. And if you aren't careful or checking behind or have mates checking looking behind your backs at all times, he can instantly teleport behind someone and kill them very quickly. P.S. Bracken ALWAYS knows where you are, no matter what. There is no crouching or being quiet, he will always know, always hunting. Only when you spot him do you get like what 15 or so seconds before he stalks again? Can't remember, just that there is no hiding from him, just knowing how to handle him.
So happy to see my favorite team playing this game, crossing my fingers you will play more of it and/or forewarned. Also would love to watch you play sign of silence with Gary.
