Where I have to disagree is with the idea that the blame is 50/50 Its more the TH-camrs. The Rell Seas community is horrible, and that’s largely because of TH-camrs and their unruly audiences. When TH-camrs with toxic fanbases make videos on a game, their audience will go wild, ruining the game in whatever way they can. Saying the community is to blame isn’t wrong, but I know it wouldn’t be this bad if TH-camrs hadn’t overhyped the game. If you don’t believe me, look at Shindo. When the three movies for Shindo came out, you didn’t see TH-camrs overhyping it or calling it the best game ever. Shindo had leaks so it was possible to overhype it but nobody did. Even now, Shindo continues to demolish Roblox anime games with 10k+ daily concurrent players even though it has almost no updates. My point is this Rell Seas is suffering not because of the people hyped to play the game It’s suffering because those with platforms and influence have no self-control. They overhyped the game to an unreasonable level, and some of them honestly shouldn’t have a platform in the first place.
Couldn't agree more, not to bash the youtubers but guys like revolver agz dreamchaser swift and multiple other youtubers glaze the game so much and hype it up as if it's the second coming of christ is the reason the game is gonna get an immeasurable amount of hate if it doesn't reach the expectations these youtubers are setting for it. I don't think people are over hypng this game man, literally in evry single one piece game, all you do is bandet beat, go yo another island get stronger pvp and repeat only rarely having game modes like gpo, but gpo started going way off the original source. Rell seas however adds waaaayyy more mechanics to the game even ones like cooking and fishing E factions actually matter and your not going around the the exact same things. Thats why i think its impossible to overhipe this game, cuz even if the game is slightly disappointing, if every single thing plus more has been added and welly done, and theres a fewb bugs and lags here and there, its still gonna be better then all other one piece games in there time, so.... The same happened to another similar game, AUT, or A Universal Time. It was overhyped for a while since its development and i joined in on the hype as well but when it released the developers didnt meet the players expectations, it was buggy, it was overall a big mess. And it didnt really stay for too long. Today it only gets like 1k - 6k players per day.
