Love Shovenose Hogs. Hes one of the few very informative people on youtube bringing information to the public about hognose breeding and care, as well as showong visual descriptions of differebt genes and how they work together when combined.
And yeah, hognoses are the new ball pythons, as far as morphs goes. The hognose industry is about to explode.
Im so jelly about the stock you got from VMS Herps. I got a banger powerhouse male corn from him a few yrs ago, and even though i was able to breed him to a few girls last year and this year, he unfortunately passed away this year and i wish I'd gotten more stock from him before he retired.
Dotty is gorgeous, even in shed. Would be cool if you can produce mini-Dotties in the future.
I appreciate this amazing comment. I produced a really noce ink drop with to other Cali kings, but this new clutch hasn't even had it first shed yet. Next season, Dotty will be breeding for the first time.
Hognoses have been popular for some time now. I don't think they'll ever be like ballpythons, but you're rite there, definitely on the way up. I've always been a boa, king and corn guy, so I never look to breed what's popular. I just breed what I love working with. I'd definitely breed 1 or 2.hogs per year like lemon ghost or produce snows and axanthic I love all of those.

Thanks for these walkthroughs. Great job. Some amazing animals at shovelnose hogs. What blend of coffee did you have in the background? At first I thought it was Costa Rican but I think the bag has a lighter blue on it.
Thank you very much. This coffee is from stumptown and is the gautamala blend. Funny thing is I ordered a blend from Colombia and they got the order wrong and sent me this. I was fine with it and figured I'll drink this and then re order the Colombian blend so I'm happy
Hey Josh I had the pleasure of meeting Germaine (shovel nose hogs)yesterday Saturday morning and purchased a baby Leucistic/albino red female hog from him at the Largo show me reptiles show 👍…..so glad you stopped by his table and chatted about hognoses with him. Btw do you still have your hogs from your early videos?
That's great and when I decide to buy another hog I'll get one from him aswell. Yes I do have the hogs you see in my earlier videos. Eventually I will breed one clutch of hogs a year. I really like the lemon ghost stuff Germaine is working with and may get a pair of those to breed

I know you’ve been super busy with your other colubrids with pairing and hatching babies the last few years 😅 I appreciate your videos and definitely look into Germaine about his stock! @MrDdeded no I didn't. My next show is Daytona I'm busy in the mean time with babies hatching and work. I can't wait for the big show...oh nice I love frogs and have a pair of cinnamon tree frogs I got from Daytona 2023. Barking tree frogs those are amazing .
