I have had my Megatower V2 for 2.5 years now and still love it just as much as the 1st day I have owned it. For a full 29er, there is no other bike I would rather own.
I’ve got the 2023 v2 mega tower with fox 38 and rock shox super deluxe on rear I’ve put on sixth element carbon wheels with industry nine hubs and sram gx asx gears the bikes a nice build and perfect for my riding And my pedals are hope f22 which look cool as f
I'm 6 ft tall & I ride a Megatower cc large & I f#@king love it. Fox factory 38 170mm fork up front & DHx2 coil in the rear. This is also my 2nd one. My 1st one was XL c frame with a fox 36 160mm up front & 150mm rock shox ultimate deluxe in the rear. The bike definitely rides a lot different between the air & coil. I prefer the coil. I live in the PNW where we have a lot of mountains. It's not a fast climber but when you get it pointed downhill it shines & it just wants to go very fast. 👍🏿👍🏿
Awesome ! I assume you are preferring the Fox 38 a lot more than the 36 as well. From what I can tell, the Fox 38 has better small bump compliance in the initial portion of the stroke than the 36 and that will add additional traction up front as well. I agree on the coil , it's a great option !
@@duffyrides yes I dig that 38 & unlike the 36 it's grip fit 2. It's almost too plush I had to add in a token just to stiff it up a little bit more. Also the amount of adjustment that can be done to it is a little overwhelming but I do believe I found the sweet spot. I'm thinking about adding the Cascade link to the rear end.
@@harveycasey1900 have a look at my video on setting up the fork. It's primarily for the 36 but the concepts are the same. You could go two to three clicks in on compression to help with hold up if it's diving under braking.
I have a warranty replaced and I have the V1 but the V2 is a lot longer and I'm afraid that if I go with that it will not be a poppy and as fast. The high tower is almost the same as the V1 megatower now just 145 rear vs 160. I went mega bc I am a heavier rider and like going downhill fast but have a lot of mellow trails in Missouri and Arkansas and I don't jump or do big drops just enduro races. Max I'm dropping is 2 to 3 feet.
Nice video. I just purchased a mega 22’ and it weighs 35.4 pounds. How light can we possibly get it? It does have Assegai dd max grip on the front and exo plus dissector in the back. T type xo drivetrain. Air suspension. Carbon bars and wheels. How many pounds does yours weigh?
Congrats on the new bike. I no longer have my megatower but I’d imagine you could get it down to 32 pounds with carbon cranks , and lightweight wheels and tires. If I recall correctly, SC website also lists the weight of the various builds from the factory. 👍

It’s a great bike. Hope you’re enjoying it !
Great Video, Does this bike usually sell here in barbados? If so how much do they usually cost?
No unfortunately these bikes are not sold in Barbados. Most people import them from the US and Europe.
@@duffyrides If you may can you kindly guide me through the process?
I love this bike
Thanks ! It's a great bike.

Great Video, Question does one of theese bikes sell in barbados? How much do they usually cost?
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately not. Miami would be the easiest place to get one if you’re based in the Caribbean.
