Yeah and you know it's just how he approaches the instrument. Like, it doesn't end at the show, he fixes them between tour dates and I always thought that was cool. A much closer relationship with the instrument than most tbh.
One of the bands I have wanted to see for so so so very long. However, living far outside cities and working has made it impossible. One day. Holding out hope! Ocean was the first song that ever came across my path and it has been love every since.

4:15 Perfect click-bait title "What he does with his guitar next will leave you speechless!" The first time I saw that bit I was thinking you gotta be fucking kidding me! He's still trying to play that shattered thing that used to be a guitar and only has one string left held taught by nothing but air and manually applied tension... AND IT'S ACTUALLY PRODUCING FUCKING SOUND. Ollie has the same kind of connection with his guitars and effects pedals as a native American has to the land and nature. I can't wait to see them live for the first time this coming October.
One of the best live bands for more than 10 years now. When will sound engineers take their job seriously and mix that bass properly? It's not the 80s anymore guys, grow the fuck up!
Pretty solid set.. agreed with others, Dion's bass is a bit buried in the mix. Definitely one of the best live acts I've seen in the past ten years. Nice people, too!
A Place To Bury Strangers live | Rockpalast | 2019 1331pm 15.10.23 the oudoor venue really lessens any effect and audible damage it should be doing... still, a decent noise barrage to be interacting with, though....
A Place To Bury Strangers live | Rockpalast | 2019 1326pm 15.10.23 just listening to it now. gonna watch this later... sounds really good. and is the kindda noise i would enjoy to listen to at such a venue as attended by a rowdy rabble of psychonauts... large venues wouldn't do the noise justice. but that's me... so thumbs up. excellent. nice etc... what more can a person say...?
Love their sound on records, seen them live twice and sadly, it has been very disappointing both times. Some of it was the mix (yeah, they are loud), some of it was the lackluster drummer back then (this one right here is so much better!) but mostly it comes down to Ackermann simply not being a good or even decent vocalist and the somewhat cringy stage antics (especially the bass player). Great band on records, not a good live band imo.
I think the vocals are the least important part of the music that is being displayed here. You can say you don't like them, but you can't say they're bad live. Because I think a lot of people would disagree with you

start a pedal company and sell your pedals way overpriced!
@@TOYSandSTORIESforyou no one is forcing you to buy them 🤷🏻♂️. Most quality pedals are not cheap
God, I'm gon miss seeing Lia on drums. I hope the new lineup is as crazy as this one.
The new formation is good and you can tell they all get along off the stage, But, this lineup is classic APTBS and will never be matched.
When you see the guitar player busts his guitar on the first song you sure know this band means business XD
That's an stereotypes coment
There you go.
I’ve heard that he often goes through 2 or three DURING the show!

Pure fucking energy ⚡⚡⚡🥁 i love the drummer
Very underrated ..Love the Records!! Wana see them Live so bad ...Fuck Corona.
I mean I've got to give it to them, don't see too many bands these days where they have to scrape bits of Jaguar off the stage at the end.
perfect!

That was probably the second time he's ever played it. 🤣🤣

that guitar looks a bit damaged

Diese ganzen 2 oder 3 Mann Stoner-Bands klingen halt live einfach alle scheiße, weil der Sound zu dünn ist. Zu dritt sind nur ZZ gut.

They destroy instruments in
the beginning.
They tossed some instruments
back and forth in the middle of the
act.
Conclusion.
