Yeah and you know it's just how he approaches the instrument. Like, it doesn't end at the show, he fixes them between tour dates and I always thought that was cool. A much closer relationship with the instrument than most tbh.

The new formation is good and you can tell they all get along off the stage, But, this lineup is classic APTBS and will never be matched.

Pretty solid set.. agreed with others, Dion's bass is a bit buried in the mix. Definitely one of the best live acts I've seen in the past ten years. Nice people, too!

The first time I saw that bit I was thinking you gotta be fucking kidding me! He's still trying to play that shattered thing that used to be a guitar and only has one string left held taught by nothing but air and manually applied tension... AND IT'S ACTUALLY PRODUCING FUCKING SOUND. Ollie has the same kind of connection with his guitars and effects pedals as a native American has to the land and nature. I can't wait to see them live for the first time this coming October.
Or course it's still producing sound, people need to stop mystifying electric guitars

I mean I've got to give it to them, don't see too many bands these days where they have to scrape bits of Jaguar off the stage at the end.
Great set, agree with Thanos F about cranking the bass up, but otherwise sounds great. Just a complaint on the jump shot camera work. No need to "create energy" with this band. Hold a shot for more than seconds FFS. Otherwise topnotch. Can't wait to see them in Seattle next month, I'm a tingle

Diese ganzen 2 oder 3 Mann Stoner-Bands klingen halt live einfach alle scheiße, weil der Sound zu dünn ist. Zu dritt sind nur ZZ gut.

Love their sound on records, seen them live twice and sadly, it has been very disappointing both times. Some of it was the mix (yeah, they are loud), some of it was the lackluster drummer back then (this one right here is so much better!) but mostly it comes down to Ackermann simply not being a good or even decent vocalist and the somewhat cringy stage antics (especially the bass player). Great band on records, not a good live band imo.

I think the vocals are the least important part of the music that is being displayed here. You can say you don't like them, but you can't say they're bad live. Because I think a lot of people would disagree with you

get a clue dude, yes the mix sucks, not the bands fault, none of Dions bass comes through at all, if your going to judge a band on 1 bad live mix I feel sorry for you, one of the best live acts on the planet
