No, it’s not necessary. You’ll burn if you walk on it. Use Mualani’s Elemental Skill or a Koholasaurus to traverse through the lava. Manage your Phlogiston Meter, especially with the former!

wow this was literally my experience in natlan lol i once forgot about genshin long ago and came back and this channel is the best recap. if you look at it this way, genshin impact just a collection of memes with the side of lore and its perfect

Best part is it's a reference to the fact that Mavuika is the Himeko of Planet Teyvat. Even though Teyvat is part of the Honkaiverse, and there's currently at least two Himekos running around in the universe. Mavuika in Genshin and Himeko in Honkai Star Rail, though the Himeko of Honkai Impact 3rd is dead. Likewise, Honkai Impact and Honkai Star Rail also have a Raiden Mei, and Genshin's Teyvat has Raiden Makoto and Raiden Ei. M/Ei. Raiden Mei. All the same universe, just different time periods and locations.
I don't think she will die in Genshin. Even if we take the plot so far into account as well as the info from leaks. Like she is a playable character, and the fact that traveller will be going on the hunt for Abyss with her, so he probably won't let her die. However, she could die in order to give traveller her powers, making him the Pyro Archon, even temporarily, giving him the gnosis as well as Pyro powers. But I really hope that is not the case.

We did move around with her in AQ after all! Imo either Genshin will finally break the rule of playable characters being alive (which would at last make us more worried about characters and not have their fates' spoiled by knowing if they will be playable), or come up with some rebirth again - definitely cannot just "oh yeah, someone else will die instead", we just had that happen in Fontaine

My experience with Natlan so far: 1. Speed running through the desert because the yellow box covered the teleport waypoint which I didn't know about because I didn't think to zoom in on the map. Also I had jumped straight into Natlan's archon quest after Inazuma so nothing was unlocked in the desert region for me. 2. Spent over 10 minutes deciding on a name for the dinosaur only to never see it again. 3. Accidentally getting an achievement for killing the dinosaur I was using because I didn't notice I was supposed to hold Q so I just kept attacking the enemies with it until it died. 4. Went on a capybara killing spree for free meat since I didn't have to chase it down. 5. Got jump scared in the night kingdom from those dark abyss spirits because I didn't realize I was supposed to stay with the light spirit when moving across the water. 6. Nearly got Chasca caught when she was sneaking around the fatui camp because the game decided to give you a 5 second countdown with no warning. 7. Was left physically and mentally drained after act 4 because I didn't realize just how long the war was going to be and the game said I would have to repeat everything if I left in the middle of it.
For point 7, I accidentally left after one of the missions. When I came back I needed not to redo the mission I've already done, so the game probably meant "if you leave during an unfinished mission, you'll have to do it again."

Natlan did not give the same feeling when first exploring it as Fontaine, but the story quests have been incredibly fun to play so far and really well presented.
