I've had my 88 stang for 31 years now and n3ver had a prob ppl em withem belt moldings. R3 oved the only t2ic3 ut the plastic washers are still tight on the doors. The other wing nuts i think are for older gm or chrysler cars moldings. Anyway, great tip on getting them back on. Thanks.
Well that’s good! Depending on the weather the car has been subject to, the plastic “washers” can deteriorate and or the metal the rivet attaches to can widen. Glad to hear yours has held up 👍
Thx buddy! It’s been really fun - and I’ve got some great stuff coming up!! One of the best parts about working on a convertible interior has been being able to stand up in it, not duck down into it, all the light to see, and you can walk through it rather then going around the car 😆😆👍

Anytime 👍
Excellent Info thanks for sharing
You’re welcome!
Didn't know about this little trick 👍
Lol - it’s a small town fix when your parts store only sells wing nuts and duck tape 😉🤣👍
Is the window belt molding the same from 1979 to what year on the Fox convertible
I’m not sure?
I’ve replaced those belt moldings like 3 times over the years. Never had to touch those plastic pieces

@@KASLCustoms well Miami/Florida since new. I’ve replaced all external rubber/trim over the years.
Yeah that heat would be tough on that stuff for sure!
Trim clips for the bright molding on the body sides f cars/trucks. The Bronco in my profile pic is a good example
Ahhhh ok that makes sense!
Good tip! Thanks! 🤘🏼

Great idea! Love the content. Your channel, Brew2l and Foxcast are my top 3 for foxbody stuff.
Thx buddy!!! Yes I agree
I can't wait to see more on this car. You are the only one I know doing a convertible and I'm on the hunt for one.

Have you tackled the gasket on the rear window yet the vertical ones? that’s a laugh a minute too ! Them moldings your putting on bend really easy lol
Hey bud! I haven’t yet… I have a feeling it ain’t gonna be fun 🤦♂️😆. Yeah they do bend really easily - especially if you get rowdy with them 😉
