There are several fish hatcheries in the Decorah area. This looks like one of them. It also looks like someone started throwing food pellets into the water to bring them close to the eagle. Just a little help I guess.

Ha ha....."I SEE the fishy, now how do I GET the fishy??" Been watching these Eaglets since April. It's nice to see the E is learning to get its own food, a little clumsy, but still got it just the same.
Funny how the eaglet has to learn how to unhook the catch from its talons. Must be nice to grow up next to a fish hatchery and simply wade in a crowded pool and step on your food. I see flying is not an option with the guide wires draped over the pools to prevent it being a 'free for all'.
