So I take it back...the image side of the plugin looks like got some updates as well. After some testing it seems it is faster and more accurate on images then the previous version. There are a couple of new options added as well.
I've tried it multiple times but I never get anything that resembles the person on the image at all 😅 I wish they added a function to upload side views, a front view and quarter views to get a more accurate model. A front view only isn't enough 😅
It is disappointing that they didn't make improvements to the image based side of the plugin; Also we need mirroring, proper depth placement for points, proper scale tools, some more QOL features, and proper body scaling and detection for bodies on stylized characters or at least some control before creation. All and all, it is a good first version...hope they keep going with this one.
The problem is that it's always so long before they refresh a plugin like this. It'll be a year or two before we get any of the things you suggested. I love version 1, but version 2 doesn't offer a lot unless you have access to 3D scans or are a great modeler.
@@hyperbolicfilms True...but there are some reason this doesn't bother me. 1: outside of Metahuman, which has it on limitations, there is no other system really this easy to use and get good results. 2: They are not subscription based, I would be pissed to wait a year for an update while paying them every month. 3: Scan data is easy to get ahold of these days with the amount photogrammetry apps in the wild. 4: Buying base ethnic or stylized Male/Female heads are cheap...not the scan store stuff; Using this tool and then the morph panel to change and refine a character is pretty easy. They still need to make improvements...but unless you have a heavy stylized character and can work pass the quirks...you can get some good results
How do you get the normal maps and roughness maps from the 3DSCANSTORE textures on to the final headshot model? the uvs are different once its completed the process
Hello! Tell me, is it possible to make a character model using these programs with just one photo? And another question: what to do if this photo is a three-quarter view?
I have read 3dscannstore theyr License Policies. Is it alowed to use theyr scanns with Single Userlicence in Character Creator 4? I never understand realy all this License Policies, who looks like in the end like all is forbiden...
Thanks for sharing!!! I just bought a model from Texture XYZ and the maps were 16k exr files... I tried to bring them into CC4 and the texture and normal were both off... I converted them to png and still no luck with the correct texture mapping. Any idea? I see you had PNG files for your model.
@@christiandebney1989 the files worked in blender so I just imported it back into CC4 to do more work and utilize the blender/CC4 pipeline. I still have not touched UE5 yet, one day!! :)
What about the body? People aren't made solely of heads. There is a sort vanilla mentality running among these 3D companies that prevents them to deal with individual bodies in character creation. I guess it's a result of the old American puritanism just creeping in.
@@ielohim2423 One of the problems with the Character Creator solution is that it only works with the head so far, so for the body you would have to do all the texture and shape changes manually. Thing that Wrap also does and doesn't limit you in that sense. You can even import the CC4 model and adapt it back, I already did that before Headshot 2. Headshot 2 only helps with ease and integration, but only for the head.
Headshot is getting better and better, thank you for video!
This looks fantastic.
it's a much needed update and works really well. Very easy to use too.

Exactly this has nothing new ZWrap was aable to do this
Great information here bro.
does it mean you don't have to learn zbrush anymore ?
Zbrush is still important to this workflow, because it helps you refine the mesh, and add imperfections and detailing

Hi, congratulations for the video, you're very good. I wanted to ask you if the head can be converted into an stl to print in resin.
Is the photo to 3D better than the previous one?
Hello! Tell me, is it possible to make a character model using these programs with just one photo? And another question: what to do if this photo is a three-quarter view?
Was there any improvements to the image scan feature?
can we use this in PC , what configuration needed to support
Nice
Any way to have this quality of texture for a Metahuman?? Thx man
Thank you. I think MetaHumans top out at 8K, but you could use AI, to upres them to 16K, like with Topaz Gigapixel AI
Are the wrinkles a texture with shading and heightmap or are his wrinkles actually a 3D mesh?
They are baked maps from the scan geometry.
Does it require dataset or can create from single image.
It can work with both, but it works best when you have a 3D scanned mesh.

Is there a non time lapsed version of this headshot 2 mapping this character.🎉
Love this vid... anyway to bring character face blendshapes to Maya or Blender?
Great Stuff! Where u get the head scans from?
Thank you. From Ten24

did you have any luck. I'd also like to bring in the normal maps like you can in metahuman

Is it possible to import an image of a dogs face and make it talk?
Hey Solomon, this is so cool! Thanks for sharing! And I’ve actually created a humanoid cat using headshot 2. Let me know what you think.
Благодарю Вас за классную работу !Коплю деньги на программы Character Creator 4 (CC4) и IClon 8 и Headshot 2.0
pls sir teach how to install Character Creator and how to install headshot plugin

R3DS WRAP is much better
This takes 2 minutes to create a character with. How long does the r3d wrap process take to create an animation ready character?

Can I add an audio recording and move the character's lips?
