I love anything splashy, variegated, silver, unique leaf shapes, veiny, big leaves and small leaves... oh yeah and fuzzy. Sell me on something cool that's plain green and average size leaves!!
I paid $20 USD for my inner variegated lacunosa because the most recent leaves did not have variegation. But for $20 I said, "what the heck" and when I got it there was variegation on the stem. Now it pushed out a variegated leaf with 2 more on the way. I am so excited for you and Betsy! There were a lot of happy tears while watching your thank you video and her updates. Thank you both for all the great content.
Kerrii! I love it. I have the solid not variegated. I have it potted with my obovata. They are on a trellis and look beautiful. I love the fleshy leaves. How can anyone not love this beautiful big leafed plant? If only it would bloom…
Notes about coriacea silver. I'm lucky enough for it to be accessible (enough) where I'm from. It grows REALLY REALLY slowly. I blast it with growlight, put out a grand total of 6 leaves within a year, although perhaps the high light makes it grow slowly, the leaves are full silver. Others chuck it outdoors, and it grows kinda nicely with wider internodal space, although the amount of splash may diminish.
I’m going to give the eliptica one more try in the spring, I love the leaves so much but nothing I did made my first one happy. Glad I’m not the only one that would hard pass on Kerrii though!
Hey Basie! I wondered if you can make a video about fuzzy hoyas? I fell in love with hairy hoyas that have hairy blooms aswell, such as h. serpens, h. thomsonii, h. caudata sumatra... I am currently on the hunt for them, and maybe some people are interested in this aswell. I love your videos! 💕
I’m always so excited to see a new video from Miro! Hoya Kerii and Compacta are hard passes for me. My Kerii never did anything and Compacta got pests and was impossible to get rid of them in all those grooves.
Hello miro! I never ever thought I would have a Hoya that you wanted and didnt have yourself. But I do have Hoya Carnosa with red flower. It bloomed this summer, so I do have pictures. Would love to send you some cuttings if you want it. It is a monster and could use a good trim anyway.
I’m major in love with the Nova Ghost. Any video you do is fine by me Miro. I’m so excited that you are going to get to meet Betsy! I’m looking forward to some videos from that. This is fantastic news. Love you 💚🌱💚
I am also not a fan of Kerii and eliptica looks a bit weird to me.. but for some reason I love the sickly looking Amarillo 😂 It's also fast growing and easy to care for!
My hoya kerri is a bean pole but does have leaves all the way up it. Currently it is on a long stake. All the leaves dropped off of the Eliptica I purchased, but will give it one more try. Love the way it looks. I usually will spend around $50 for a plant so my collection is wanting.
I find it hard to pass on Hoya but I am not a fan of Kerrii either but I do like the splash but have been struggling with her for 3 years, she still only has 3 leaves 🥴. 💚💚💚
My husband always tries to offer me ginger tea when I'm sick and I always answer that I can never be sick enough to voluntarily drink it. And here you are sipping away an entire pot for no apparent reason 🫠
Don’t let my opinion of the plant color your experience :) Enjoy the plant and grow it. If you like it, I think that is great. There are many plants I like and other people find ugly and annoying. For example, Hoya undulata. Most will say it is ugly, I think she is beautiful ❤️
I have to agree on smash for meredithii. Love mine. I'm not a fan of Kerri either plain or variegated. What about soligamiana? I really like the long slender leaves.
The only Hoya I’ve had trouble with out of my 4 is the kerrii..I had it on a trellis and it got mad..put it back “hanging” but won’t even actually hang SMH pass😂
I think if you really give your plants proper care and if they're vibrant with health, they always look luxurious. I love all kinds of hoya. Each kind is individual and unique. You say hoya amarillo looks unhealthy for you, and I know some people who think the same about Undulata. Well, tastes differ. But never say "never".
I know people think undulata is ugly and that is okay :) To me, Amarillo looks viral. Definitely a different look than undulata, but I completely understand someone would like it. It's just a fun video, nothing to be actually upset about :)
@@BasiePlants I honestly am at capacity for plants at 300. I'm thinking of giving away whole plants and plant dupes. So the lacunosa varieties don't interest me. But I have been seeing a trend for silver Serpens. Also would like to see part 2 small Hoya and another large leaf Hoya collection!!
Hahaha what BS is that about loving carnosa ? Hahaha once upon a time… I have fungii, leave & flowers to die for. Compacta & kerii : 🤮. We have carnosa Krimson Queen purple pride variance in Australia. The new shoot is deep purple is my favourite. We have snow ball. It is similar to Chelsea but a bit different. You’ll love it.
Which of these popular hoyas do you like?

@@mwoods4608 Same! But there are definitely 'plain' looking ones that I totally want!
I seem to like the most expensive ones- 💚😎💚
Lacunosa inner variegated. It is on the top of my wish list. Hard smash!
@@Miles_Hoffman I feel you xD
I don’t like Hoya Kerii either and I’m not sorry about it 🤷🏼♀️
😂 Same. I just pretend I am sorry xD In reality, I really am not at all :D
Me either lol
Saaaaame

LUCKY YOU! I would have grabbed that right away too :D I wouldn't even think xD Thank you for always watching Nicole
Absolutely do a 'rating my subscribers hoya's'😍

Mine bloomed it's second year, after I cut a piece off to propagate. It pushed out a new leaf, then got a peduncle, and bloomed🤗💚🌱
Off topic, but I need to know about this tea! Both ginger and almond are absolute smashes for me.
It’s because we all love how amazing you are!
You're going to visit Betsy! That's so exciting ❤ I can't wait for those best friend videos, I know they'll be full of laughter!
I think the lacanosa amarillo looks like it has a viral disease. I couldn't handle having it. I would be so paranoid.

I love love love Caroline’s channel. I feel like you and Betsy combined are the “Caroline” of hoya on TH-cam
Omg you too?! I didn't expect anyone to know her because she is so far removed from the plant community! :D That is amazing!
Same! She’s incredibly sharp and quick witted - love her channel!
I’m going to give the eliptica one more try in the spring, I love the leaves so much but nothing I did made my first one happy. Glad I’m not the only one that would hard pass on Kerrii though!
I actually love how you trellis your plants! 😊😊 I've copied it and it works great!
Ooh lots of gorgeous Hoyas 😍 I love the Imbracata it’s one of my fastest growers.💚

I didn't think I was going to love Nova Ghost as much as I do, but I adore it! I am excited too ❤ It is going to be a great video for sure!
Ahhh, i do love Caroline's videos!!!
OMG REALLY?! She makes me laugh so much! :D
Thank you for this fun video! 💚😎💚
I am glad you enjoyed it!
omg this video had me laugh from beginning to end 😂
Glad to be the Hoya clown 😂
Oh yay! BFF content! Cool!
I can't wait to film it :D

Most of my hoyas are around that price too :) Very few are more expensive and even those I got through very generous people
Smash or pass other people's Hoyas would be so funny.
Eliptica is a struggle bus plant. it grows then looks sickly.
I agree. I think the good growth with my first one was luck :D At mostly not having mites :D
my kerri is on a tall trellis and has about 2 feet with no leaves. I'm so tempted to cut it!
Omg same :D I hate when she does this!
PART 2 PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are definitely enough hoyas left that people suggested for a part 2! :D
What about hiya ds 70? I recently got it and I like it. X
I find it hard to pass on Hoya but I am not a fan of Kerrii either but I do like the splash but have been struggling with her for 3 years, she still only has 3 leaves 🥴. 💚💚💚
I also like kerrii splash. Mine grows fairly well, but I still have to figure out how to properly display her :D

Oh no!! I just got a Hoya Kerii and was so excited. Now I don't know what to think. I thought I got something special and the price was right.

I always liked that lipstick plant, but everyone I see in the store is deadish
Oh yes! I saw so many nasty looking ones! I liked it when I had it... until thrips got to it. :D

I like the ghost
Me too :)
Hoya kerrii might be my least favorite Hoya. Or Hoya kanyakumariana. Or umbricata. I have a lot of least favorites. 😂
Hoya kanyakumariana is great! 😭 I love her 🥺
How about a smash or pass video between miró and betsy ????😅
The link for Caroline's channel does not seem to work.
Agreed on pass for most lacunosa ATM. Just too spendy
Yup! But the prices will come down for them fast. They are quick growers!

Hoya burtoniae variegated smash or 😮
SMASH!
Carrii
Another smash :D
Hoya is boring. It's like those weeds that grow between the cracks 🤣🤣🤣
You probably hate disco too
Not at all 😂
I feel the same way about kerrii, I simply don't understand why people love it so much 🫢
I don't like shingling plants either!
