Why didn’t the selvage get cut off?
If a selvage edge is hidden and won't be seen why cut it off?
@kimberlystahl1746 the selvedge is much more tightly woven than the fabric which can affect the drapec& handling of the item.
Sorry this is not new technique. It's old; pre-rotary cutter.

You guys are so negative. Not everyone is experienced at sewing. I’ve been sewing for over 50 years and I’m still on here trying to learn new things. Everything isn’t new to me but I can either watch the video or click on another. Kindness might be a topic for some of you to explore.
