    Thanks for the video. At what interval should we replace rear brake shoe in ford figo diesel 2012 ABS model ?. When I apply hand brake in uphill, the car still moves back bit ,then I have to move the hand brake lever further up to make the car stop and stand . Mine has run 54000 kms .

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats normal. ford older model has tough brake shoes and need extra strength to lock in place. Rear brakes on most car goes beyond 1.5 lk kms. Even mine crossed 2.4 lk kms with stock brake shoes. Front pads needs frequent changing and care.

    Hi brother i follow almost all your videos to service my Figo. But in this case the rear left wheel play is still there after replacing the bearings also. Could you please suggest.

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do check the spindle if its tightly bolted to the cross bar. There's nly two things to make the rear wheel loose. Non proper fitment of bearing or spindle nut not torqued properly. Or the bearing is not the correct spec.

      To adjust, have to remove the central panel inside. There will be two torx screw on both sides of central panel on back side. Move the front seat forward and will see them. Take them off and reomve the panel. You will find a 10mm adjsting nut on the cable. Just adjst it.

    I have a Indian Ford fiesta classic 1.4 TDCi 2006 model. Need to replace rear brake shoe. Parts dealer says there are 2 types of brake shoe but he does not know which type for 2006 model. Is it the same type as in the video(6 holes) for 2006 model or there is another one that has only 2 holes in the shoe?

      Bearing can be re greased but if its found dry enough or crossed over 40k or 50k kms.Jst put your finger in the middle part ie that lil seperation and see if there's grease in it.
      And the spindle, its jst need to be wet thats all for easy pulling out and pushing in ie drum.
      And the abs ring, No it should be clean as new or the brake dust and metal spreads will be collected fast on the ring and it will affect the abs sensor to read wrong.

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to wry, one, could be improper tyre air pressure, second improper steering camber, third if one tyre is smaller than other or one wearing fast. Fourth brake grabing. A bad alignment could also cause this problem. These are the possible options or chances.

    Mate, on the Figo 2nd gen on the rear wheel there is a small cap covering the center lug nut, can we remove that or we have to remove the wheel separately and then the drum separately using bolts?

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The small cover u reffer should be the hub spindle nut,the big one. You can pry the cover out without removing the wheel, but why would you remove the dust cover simply?

    • @vijayam1
      @vijayam1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dailyhandsdiy The Figo 2nd gen has a different spindle. One has to remove the wheels to access the drum, I think. Not as easy as the first gen where the spindle nut is in center.

      Oh yes yes sry, my mistake, new figo has a floating drum setup, have to remove the wheel, with a hammer hit on drum edges. it should come right off. Or There's a hole where a bolt goes in. torque it nd the drum comes off right away
