One tip that helped me is: don't spec until its HP drops below 200. The lava attacks only happen below 200 HP, so if you dump all your specs *before* then, you're left with slower DPS, and have to deal with more lava.

Late reply - I looked around and didn't find one. I used a timer (on my phone) for a while when I was learning, but I really recommend just waiting for the second combo, count to 3, then go ham. It's so much easier than fiddling with a timer.
So once you hit the boss, you start the time. After 56 seconds you kill it very fast? During those 56 seconds you keep it above 400 hp after 56 seconds you kill it fast correct?
Hit the boss once, count to 56, keep it above 400 HP during said 56 seconds, once 56 seconds pass switch to DPS gear and destroy him. If you can't out DPS him or just whiff a shit ton, teleport out and try again.
Never done Cerb on the main, got 91 slayer yesterday on the gimp and got hellhounds straight away, would it be worth me using DWH spec or should I do enough dps with dds specs?
Dwh isn't worth using. Cerb has relatively low defence anyway, and for more than 50% of this method you don't want to do big damage. Since making this guide I have swapped the dds with a sgs :)
@@DrDreyy911 try not to wait longer than 56 seconds. How this works, at 56 seconds ghosts spawn, nulled because over 400hp, next ghosts spawn at 2mins 30 so if you wait longer than 56 seconds your success rate will go down
@@kaedeosr2613 No, but cerb is more based on how many times it attacks than time itself. You have to kill it right after the pool is gone or else he'll spawn the ghosts even with this method. So rng still has to be on your side even with this guide. Not to mention if you don't get lucky he can spawn ghosts even after the 1 minute timer is up if you don't do enough damage with your weapon fast enough.
@@jogger228 yes its based on attacks and not time, believe it or not cerb doesn't change attack speed therefore can be calculated with time. First ghosts is not possible if he's above 400hp , if you're getting ghosts at 1min you're not doing it right
You don't have the get lucky with hits to do enough dps with an arclight on stab. You have to be unlucky, and guess what, if you have an unlucky kill you may have to drink a prayer potion every 10 kills
@@kaedeosr2613 I never said you get ghosts when cerb's above 400 hp in this method. But you can get them when it's below 400 hp if you don't kill it fast enough. Especially towards the end of the fight based on its attack rotation. At its 25 hit, it spawns lava below 200 hp and on the 28th it spawns ghosts below 400 hp. No matter how you want to put it, it's still based on rng and it won't always go in you favor even with this method even with arclight on stab. Maybe inquisitor mace could totally make the cut. In short this method works but not always because it only skips the first ghosts guaranteed
Good vid but why label it an ironman guide when most ironman accounts won't have the herb lv for super combat potion and most ironman account won't even be lucky enough to have full guthens and full bandos seems like a click bait
Hiya, none of the things you mentioned are required, guthans is v nice tho. Normal super sets do the same as scmb and bandos just adds max hits, you don't need it. Its ironman friendly because its the best method of killing the boss without using tons of p pots. Hope this helps

For anyone who's wondering does this method still work? Short answer: Yes. However, Cerberus will use the ghost attack on its 28th attack.
