Depends on how long those 500 errors have been showing for. But from the sounds of it if it's your whole site then it's a server / hosting issue. You might need to wait a little while for it to be resolved. Otherwise, reach out to your server / hosting provider.
Great video. I am getting this error. Page fetch error Failed: Blocked due to access forbidden (403) during URL inspection. What is the fix for this issue? Thanks in advance.
403 errors can be tricky. I would recommend the following: 1) If it's only showing for one URL I might wait a few days to try again(sometimes the issue is resolved on its own. Google might have crawled that URL when the site may have been down for a moment). 2) I would check that the URL is live on your website just to be certain. 3) If your on WordPress it might be a plug in error try updating to latest versions 4) If the URL isn't important to the website example outdated PDF or query parameter URL with minimal value possibly 301 redirect that URL.
I have a problem that console is not reading my posts and even the numbers are not updating. I see many visits every day on jetpack but nothing is changing on google search console
There could be a number of reasons for example: the blogs could be blocked by no index tag, robots.txt or have a canonical tag placed on the page that is pointing to another URL. It's hard to give a clear idea without more context. Thanks for reaching out :)
This is August 2022 and your video is meeting my needs right now. Thanks a lot for putting it together. At 11:22 you mentioned an 'additional bonus tip' which I need more clarity on. You said, 'It's very useful to plugin your sitemap in your robot.txt file cos it's the first place that Google crawls. It enables Google to crawl your website more effectively and more efficiently.' This sounds counterproductive to me because I believe the robots.txt itself is set to alert Google not to crawl the page. Could you please explain further? Thanks.
Hi Stephen, thanks for the comment and I am so glad that you got a lot of value from this video :). Yes, the robots.txt file gives commands to crawlers (Google Bot and other search engine bots) to which sections of the website they can crawl. To your question, its not counter productive to add in the XML sitemap because the robots.txt file is the first place Google bots visit when crawling you website. So essentially the Google bot is receiving / accessing XML sitemap URL through the robots.txt file outlining all the key pages that you want indexed and crawled from your website. You're providing the most important information up front (if that makes sense)
Hi thanks for the question! I haven't used Sqaurespace in a while. But it should be: settings>advanced>URL mappings that is where you can redirect URLs. If you got value from my video please like & subscribe :)

@@brunolmusic1 That's odd. I haven't encountered that. I would try to clear your cache, refresh your page, test using different browsers and check that your correctly logged into your correct Gmail account.

Regarding the Aforementioned Redirection tool on WordPress. Should we use the original URL that has the Problem or what. I'm totally confused here Targeted URL= The URL with error Targeted URL= Anything else Which one abeg?
Thanks for the comment. Firstly, check if the URL or URLs that highlighted as 500 errors are still actively triggering a 500 error status code (sometimes it triggers the error temporarily don't want to redirect a URL that's no longer an issue). For the redirect tool, the first field you input the URL that has the error and the second field is where you want that URL first URL to be redirected to. Hopefully that makes sense 🙂
Brother my website donot have any errors but it does have excluded 400 Urls and i don't know how to resolve it ...233 out of these 400 are crawled but not indexed ...how to resolve that please tell
There could be a few reasons for this: - URLs contain a lot of Javascript and Google takes it's time to index these type of URLs - Google may of crawled these URLs but simply havent got around to indexing - Other issues such as the URLs are redirects, potentially blocked by robots.txt or as mentioned above discovered but not indexed just yet
@@abhishekthakur-us7uu That depends, if you've got an option to request indexing then do it. Otherwise, just monitor it over time see if anything changes over time.

@@elhajji77 Thanks for the reply. 1)Make sure that there is no messages about not having enough data - because you might just need to wait 2) GSC only looks at Organic performance.
