I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.

Shady is such a good battler 99% of the time, and then sometimes he's uses Psycho boost to finish a 1hp pokemon and lower his own special attack by 2 stages for no reason which then subsequently results in him being unable to kill the following pokemon. Shady will always be Shady.
I feel like you could go lower and take the BST of what is onscreen while being able to evolve them, that way there is a bigger penalty/risk to taking a legendary and a dratini trumps a dragonite.

What if you did actual hide and seek in the terrarium; 1st select any Pokemon you want to be, randomize the spawns, try to hide anywhere in the terrarium (panic if you can't find the Pokemon you selected 😈). Seeker has 10min to find you (hider gives a hint every couple minutes, just to make it remotely possible). If found, seeker gets to pick any Pokemon they saw on screen looking for you (or just what's on screen when found, if too OP). If not hider gets said Pokemon, with an illegal move + chosen ability.

Custom battle idea: each round you choose a pokemon from three starters that can evolve (without revealing them) then choose another starter from three fully evolved pokemon (that you can reveal), you combine move sets and use any of there abilities, use the typing of the first picked Mon and body of the second for stats, then custom design the body of the fully evolved Mon to look like it evolved from the first Mon, the opponent wouldn't know the type till they see them in battle and guess what you evolved it from.❤
I'd love to see a "choose one, give two", go 4 rounds, whoever is looking at starters gets to keep one and give their opponent the other two. 4 rounds, that'll net 9 options per player. Giving away the two you don't keep would make for some crazy strategy on the types and synergy you're giving your opponent, and if anyone has a triple legendary round they're gonna be crying trying to figure out what to let their opponent have.
Out of all the attacking moves he could’ve run on Kricketune, why in the world would you do Trailblaze? Like even if you want the Technician boost, why Trailblaze? I am baffled that he didn’t either put Knockoff on to just get rid of an item while taking a hit with focus sash, or run like Fell Stinger to get stab and Technician boost and maybe get a kill to boost attack and make him need to kill it next turn instead of setting up on it
Its crazy Shady could have gone for a Speed Boost, curse, protect, Body slam and earthquake Snorlax with heavy duty boots. That thing wouldve been a BEAST with 2 curses and protect to nullify the curse, and in 2 more turns wouldve absolutely broken the game!
the multiple abilities are done on emerald on romhacks, not sure how you would manage to pick specifically but in most recent delta emerald romhack you can pick 1 of 3 abilities (and they have customized the abilities quite a bit as well) + 3 innates (which are basically still abilities)
Idea for a then we fight: What if all mons had the same BST (lets say 500 for the sake of an interesting fight)? But the ratio of their stats doesn't change? This would make the movesets, abilities, and actual gameplay matter a lot more because all the mons start on an even playing field in terms of raw power. Here are some examples (without taking EVs into account which would boost these further). A Seedot with a BST of 220 would adjust upwards to give it 113 Def, 91 hp/atk, and 68 sp. atk, sp. def, and spd instead of the original 50, 40, and 30 A Mew's 600 BST would adjust downwards to give it 83 across the board. Trapinch's 290 BST and atk of 100 would make a monster with 172 atk and still have 78 in most other stats (and a still hilarious 17 spd)

OK, I've got a wild Then We Fight gimmick idea. Your opponent looks at your randomized starter pokemon, reacts, you get to ask one question, and then you blindly pick a pokemon and name a move and ability you want to give it. Without revealing what Pokémon it is, your opponent checks if your choice naturally gets that move or ability. If it does, they say "Try Again" and you must change at least one of those options (Pokémon, move, or ability). Once you've selected a pokemon that does not naturally get the move and ability you want, only then is it revealed and you give it that move and ability.
The guy for giving two abilities to a Pokémon is Frank. I think he thoroughly investigated doing that for a video a while back. Great video as always boys.
I know how much all of you love a good competitive fight...what if you did a tournament where the winner is based off who wins the fastest. so even if you win the tournament, if you finished with the longest match time for every match leading up, you wouldn't get the points to win the challenge! (very rough base concept but could be cool)

Extreme hackmons battle : -pick six random starters -build them using any moves and abilities you want -the twist is then you put all 12 pokemon in a randomizer and spilt ithe in to to random team so you could build a bad pokemon hoping your opponent gets it or a completely broken one in hopes you get it
About the whole two abilities thing: there’s a mod on showdown called Shared Power where when you send in a pokemon, your entire team gets the ability too. So if you lead Kricketune, everyone gets Technician. Then send in Blaziken and everyone has Technician + Speed Boost and so forth. It’s really fun and makes for some extremely creative plays.
I played that format one time and happened to match the guy who was trying to prove how broken a certain harvest drought set was and it made the game last more than half an hour before I threw in the towel lol

You should do "king of the hill" Set a timer and short shot clock and whoever can hold the hill the longest wins Be interesting to see people prioritising moves like whirlwind or roar over damage
Video Idea, you cannot swap Pokémon in the battle until it dies. The challenge during the starter selection would be choose 1st then 2nd then 3rd option and then repeat. So 1st round would be choose the Pokémon on the left, then 2nd round is Pokémon in the middle then 3rd round is Pokémon would be the one the right then repeat. You can change it however you would like.
Repost, baby! - Randomized starters, alternate picks. But the base stat total of the first Pokèmon is set to the same as the second one. Fe. Player A picks a Giratina, Player B then picks Scizor. Giratinas base stat is then lowered to Scizors. Next round Player B choooses first. The adjusted base stat spread is determined by the player. Also the fully evolved base stat counts. Split-Evo you can choose one. This could make some good Pokèmon bad, and some bad ones really good. If the base stats of both pokemon happen to be equal, both players get to choose a custom ability for that Pokémon.
Frank tried to change as one when he was trying to create the most powerful pokemon and he couldn’t figure out how to do it, so it’s probably not possible
Video Idea : U play hide and seek or any sort of game u like and from that..Out of the 3 pokemon...If the one u guessed was chosen then u can build the pokemon with a new ability and change the descriptions of the moves which they have...For instance u can change scald to have 50 percent accuracy and have a mon with serene grace....
The last 3 picking rounds wasn't an amazing idea, like, there's not really a whole lot of mind games to that. What makes it worse is as your teams round out the initial concept gets cooler as mind-games become more and more a thing, but you completely removed that element. What a strange choice.
the idea to have the regular ability and hidden ability both active is a format on Pokemon Showdown actually! Idk if it's possible to mod it into ScarVi, but some Pokemon that are usually mid become crazy if they have two abilities
I think this idea could also really work with telling each other more info like BST or hey maybe it gets more info each round and it keeps that chess/rock paper scissors aspect leading to the final round telling the whole pokemon. Legendary only could also be really cool for this!

Like how Luke’s reasoning for Adaptability on Chesnaught was he has 2 typings for STAB and then proceeds to only use 1 damaging STAB move
This is a cool idea. You could also flip it into a chosing Your starter gives you your type, then you go hunt, and this type in the wild area.
So basically, you want what Poke'Rogue does with their Passive abilities, so they have 2 at once

You should do "king of the hill"
Set a timer and short shot clock and whoever can hold the hill the longest wins
Be interesting to see people prioritising moves like whirlwind or roar over damage
Video Idea, you cannot swap Pokémon in the battle until it dies. The challenge during the starter selection would be choose 1st then 2nd then 3rd option and then repeat.
So 1st round would be choose the Pokémon on the left, then 2nd round is Pokémon in the middle then 3rd round is Pokémon would be the one the right then repeat. You can change it however you would like.

Giratinas base stat is then lowered to Scizors. Next round Player B choooses first. The adjusted base stat spread is determined by the player. Also the fully evolved base stat counts. Split-Evo you can choose one. This could make some good Pokèmon bad, and some bad ones really good. If the base stats of both pokemon happen to be equal, both players get to choose a custom ability for that Pokémon.
Frank tried to change as one when he was trying to create the most powerful pokemon and he couldn’t figure out how to do it, so it’s probably not possible
Video Idea : U play hide and seek or any sort of game u like and from that..Out of the 3 pokemon...If the one u guessed was chosen then u can build the pokemon with a new ability and change the descriptions of the moves which they have...For instance u can change scald to have 50 percent accuracy and have a mon with serene grace....

The last 3 picking rounds wasn't an amazing idea, like, there's not really a whole lot of mind games to that. What makes it worse is as your teams round out the initial concept gets cooler as mind-games become more and more a thing, but you completely removed that element.

the idea to have the regular ability and hidden ability both active is a format on Pokemon Showdown actually! Idk if it's possible to mod it into ScarVi, but some Pokemon that are usually mid become crazy if they have two abilities
I think this idea could also really work with telling each other more info like BST or hey maybe it gets more info each round and it keeps that chess/rock paper scissors aspect leading to the final round telling the whole pokemon.
Legendary only could also be really cool for this!
