We randomized Pokemon our starters and we'll be able to see them! BUT, we're going to be playing hide and seek in order to try and HIDE the starter we want from our opponent! After six rounds of starters, we'll build the best teams we can, and battle!

idea for you that I got from watching this and you yelling about picking left; You and your opponent each have a spinner with cardinal directions, you call where you think the spinner will land and you get a buff if it's called correctly. if the spinner lands West, North or East those are of course Left, Center or Right, but if it lands South towards you then your opponent gets to choose your starter that round

17:58 For anyone confused: The reason Thunder Wave does nothing is because Gardevoir had the ability Prankster. Iron Jugulis is a Dark type, and Dark Types are immune to all status moves from pokémon with Prankster

This is one I found out recently as well as I only started playing again recently, and it's one of those rules so obscure, I forget about it seconds after it's mentioned.
@@kosgoth it's fine if you didn't know it, but to i will say it's anything but obscure, prankster pokemon are very common in competitive (mainly Tornadus and Whimsicott), so this mechanic comes out very often, there are even support pokemon, like Amoonguss or Cresselia, that sometimes specifically run tera dark to prevent being taunted by prankster users.
Manscaped is a lifesaver in this heat, no one wants hairy pokeballs with desolate land on the field

Reading the title makes me want a video where they actually try to hide a Pokémon (by blocking it with their character, moving the camera around, etc) and having the other person try and guess the concealed ‘mon.

that would be an amazing idea. you pick a pokemon (maybe shiny?) and a quadrant, and if your opponent finds you they pick a different pokemon, but if they don't you get any ability

You should do this with prop hunt. Where you chose the starter you want and the opponent has like 4 min to try and find you. If he succeeds he can give you any mon he found on his hunt, but if the hider succeeds they get any ability

Should do a challenge by having your friends submit Pokemon & movesets and you use the picker wheel to see what you get. Have the Pokemon on 1 wheel & the moveset on the other. You could get something horrible or good

Suggestion, you and your opponent can choose any starter you want, but the moves are completely random
I thought they were gonna use the Syncro Machine and hide as the Pokemon and the other had to find them within the time limit.
This in itself would be a cool concept to see in the future.

I like the twist in concept as presented in the intro. It really made for some fun dialog - and crazy interactions with the randomizer in the number of times their mon of choice was in the same one spot 😂😂😂

Battle Idea: Pokemon Shell Game.
On your turn, you get to choose 1 legendary to pick from, and your opponent gets to pick 2 babies. ( Use the PC method for this, be the easiest way to do it. )
Randomize the order of those bad boys, then Blindly pick which number you want, and see if your a winning legend, or a crying baby.
Random moves, abilities, and all that fun stuff.
No pokemon can be selected twice, so if you miss the legend, you can't try again, and your opponent is locked out of it too.
No skips, you get what you get, then you battle.
Fun idea, but the fact that the find is just luck (1/3 to guess) takes aways the mental games that we all love from this videos.... What if after choosing what to hide, you tell the other one the three Pokemons, so the have to guess if the other will go for a good pokemon, or if the go for a middle tier but secure the good abilities, or other chess like strategies, I think would be so cool that way
Also, scramble numbers with Luke would be hilarious!!

Video Idea: Roll a dice or another way to get a random number. Have the opponent randomly choose which starter to start the countdown on. Use the random number to countdown between the starters from where the opponent chose. Pick the starter that ends on 0. ❤️

It has no name yet, but:
You tell two lies. The other person can then ask for the true identity of any ONE Pokémon. For example, you see in front of you (left-right) a roaring moon, skwovet and a mewtwo. You sat there is a caterpie, diancie and mewtwo. If they ask what the mewtwo is, you would say it is a mewtwo. If they asked about the diancie, then you would reveal it is a skwovet and it would be a 50/50 which is a lie.
The risk vs reward is that if they always say ‘what is the [best mon] then it could be a lie and end with a coin flip between which if the others is a lie.

An idea for a “Then we battle” would be that you have to choose the Pokémon with the lowest BST among the 3 potential starters. But each player has the opportunity to choose the highest option and the second highest option once.
So confused by this concept. Hiding had absolutely no impact on anything. It was basically just, "Which one am I thinking of?"
What I thought it was going to be from the sound of it at first, was something like, you hide one starter and then share a screenshot and the person has to choose. Could be funny to see some attempts at hiding bigger mons, getting creative with the camera angles.

Hide and seek in random areas using random legendaries. If the opponent finds you in a set time they get the legendary and if they don't you get the mon.

My idea for a vid. You let google or Siri or something pick 3 numbers. numbers are 0-5, 0-5 and 0-41. You multiply the 3 numbers and the number you get, is the Pokédex number you get for your team (5 times 5 times 41 is 1025, the final Pokédex number). A 0 means don’t multiply (instead of multiply by 1) so you roll 0, 0, 1 for example you get bulbasaur.
This seems really fun to me, I hope you try it!

Video idea. You are traveling to different areas that consist random generated Pokémon. One of you have 2 minutes to go around and choose one Pokémon from area that he want and then go back to starting point. After that the other person have 4 minute to go around and 2 chances to guess what Pokémon their opponent chosen for their team. If guess is correct than Pokémon will have completely random move set and ability if not than you can choose one move and reroll ability once if you do not like one that you got.
New now we fight: Guess the Pokémon your opponent wants. Player 1 looks at random Pokémon and chooses which one they want for their team. Opponent tries to guess which one they chose. Guess right and give any Pokémon on screen.

I think it's something about prankster maybe not working on dark types? I'm curious too Edit: Just checked and, yep, prankster doesn't work on dark types

prankster doesn't affect dark types, he gave garde prankster so it nulled the move

Dark-type Pokémon are now immune to opposing Pokémon's moves that gain priority due to Prankster, including moves called by moves that call other moves (such as Assist and Nature Power) and excluding moves that are repeated as a result of Prankster-affected Instruct or moves that occur earlier than their usual order due to Prankster-affected After You. Ally Dark-type Pokémon are still affected by the user's status moves.
So, I guess Pokemon just wanted to confuse people lol

This is a fun concept but I feel that it boils down entirely to luck, and its in favor of the person hiding, so it's practically a "We get to pick our own teams" video.
Nothing to involve pokemon, but i wanna know when dylan is gonna grow some facial hair. I'm 22 and have more than he has on his head. But all in all, always great to see these 2 amazing dads play pokemon together. Keep up the great work!

Here's an idea based on what was said at 4:40 timestamp
(Sorry if this was already done lmao)
Choose your starter, but you have fixed selections.
Let me explain. With 6 rounds and 3 locations, each player can choose each location up to two times. So for example round 2, Shady chooses middle and round 4 he chooses middle, he can no longer get a pokemon from the center. Do this until you have a full team and then battle.
I really hope to see this idea be done (if it hasnt already) love the videos

Idk how crazy of an idea this is but having a mod where all type match ups reversed would be cool and funny. Listening to you guys talk about how you need an electric type for ground type or switching into an electric type and having it as your ground immunity. Lots of opportunities for misplays and fun.

You guys should do a “Channel Pokémon” advantage, so basically since shady you like delibird, anyone who picks delibird on your channel and they get 1 maxed out stat, any move, any ability. I’m sure you guys could figure out the balancing for it.

Shady had a Mild (+ Spatk -Def) instead of Impish (+Def - Sp.atk) Steelix on Pat's channel recently, so it might've actually been timid
