The only one that I'd have replaced was the Honchkrow...but the guys have a special place in their hearts for things that go BOOM, so I can see why he took it.

A lot of their grumblings come from the core games. In the main games, Weavile is a massive help to a team, having high Attack and Speed with a decent pool; Abomasnow, on the other hand, is really only used as a snow setter these days (once megas return, though...).
That said, what would be the one he'd have replaced with the Mismagius (which, I'll definitely admit, was massive)? Kricketune is the obvious choice, but speed control wins games more often than straight-up sweepers, so Sticky Web is locked in...I'd have dropped the Honchkrow myself.

@@cameronclark7170, that's why I've expanded my Pokémon viewing to include/re-include some of the more competitively-based PokéTubers (Patterrz, Shadypenguinn, GBL, Vintendo (who I watched back in the day with Dobbs), and the like)...seeing how the competitive community plays puts some of the randomizations into perspective.
My pleasure...no real reason to go off about something this chill anyway.

Guys, I think we all agree catching random pokemons is more entertaining than building your own teams, but maybe you could just prepare your teams based on your own prefference just once? I'd love to see what you'd come up with. Any pokemon, any move, just pure fun and no complaining about luck
They have in the past, even used meta sets. It's just less entertaining. These guys aren't like, high level singles players. The casualness is what makes it good

Leaving the mismagius was literally throwing, it should have come over literally any other pokemon he had, including the legend. (Especially a legend that bad) if he had lost people would be rioting in here

To be fair, the move description doesn’t say how much the move is boosted by. He might’ve thought it gets a 25% boost for each defeated ally, which would only bring it up to 112.5 Base power.

Idea or suggestion for video: Can you do a cheese-only round? It would be for type, ability, held item, and moves. For example:
Slow/Weak with Sturdy and Endeavor
Celesteela: Heavy Metal, Heavy Slam
Fast Baby: area trap, destiny bond
Shedinja: wonder guard, double-team
Spiritomb: wonder guard
Electric type with levitate
High HP/Low Def/Lots of Weaknesses with Innards Out
Snorlax: Rest, Yawn, Snore

PLEASE do this tournament again but have a draft where you both pick 4 gens in a snake draft. Then use competitive movesets! and if someone runs out, they can sub in Gen 9 as a last resort. Love the content!
Been watching a tonne of the then we fight videos! Always a lot of fun but it seems a shame that the psychic type is often hampered by the randomizer. So in their honor I am suggesting the psychic challenge. You get a list of personal questions together and one person asks a question (ex 'what is my favourite pokemon type') and the other person answers. If the answer is right the person who answers gets to pick their pokemon, if wrong the other person picks for them. Randomized pokemon and abilities but with customizable move sets to give the types with bad pools more viability. If you want to add another little twist - if the person not picking in a round can guess what pokemon the other person is going to choose (lock in choice, guess, reveal choice) then they can either improve or hamper the pokemon in some way, such as making them keep all or some of their randomized move set, getting a single ability change capsule, use of a held item or something else that could make a fun effect in battle (probably one set detriment, one set perk for the whole video). I figured this could be fun since you and Chillin are such good friends.

I got a great challenge. You guys both have three random starters, choice lock, but rock paper scissors decides who gets to choose. So if chillin wins and picks middle quick must take middle as well.

You should repeat the generations challenge, but this time you hand pick the teams: max 1 starter, 1 legendary, 1 pseudo... without randomized moves or abilities! This will take some of the luck factor away and would be super dope
Aww...that Scovillain looks so much better than it is. Stored Power doesn't work as well with Technician as it may seem...Technician does take variable-power moves into account (like Stored Power, Gust (when used on an airborne target), Rollout, etc.), but only if the effective power is 60 or below; this means that you're limited to two stat boosts to keep Stored Power at a level to be affected by Technician (and one AP proc gives you five stages).
That said, having two 90 BP attacks and a 120 BP (after an omniboost) attack with that Special Attack isn't a bad thing, just that Technician and AP are kind of at odds.

As far as I know the dmg is calculated from the attackers Special Attack and either the defenders special defense or defense - depending on which is lower

@@malacethmordor5176, that was my thought, too...but unlike other moves with that (or similar) wording, SSA actually changes into either Physical or Special, but it may also take the opponent's stats into account as well (so kind of a hybrid of the moves). Say G-Slowbro (100/100 base offenses) attacks a Cloyster with SSA...it'll definitely be Special (as Cloyster is highly physically defensive); what happens if a G-Slowbro with 105 Attack and 95 Special Attack hits an opponent with 95 Defense and 105 Special Defense (or whatever the mathematical balance point would be)? For that matter, what would happen if a massive physical attacker with exceedingly low SpA used SSA against something with massive Def but abysmal SpD?
it functions the same as photon geyser. both moves depend on which attack stat is higher (not BST). for revavroom, it would've been a physical attack dealing physical damage

You guys should catch one pokemon from each generation and then build three teams of three with the nine mons and have a best of three 3on3. There’d be a lot of strategy behind stacking the first two teams or trying to make all three equal strength!
Challenge idea: Do another tournament, but this time with types ( all the 18 types to see wich type will be champion).
I'd suggest two preliminary matches to reduce 18 to 16, so you can do a playoff perfect scheme. Something like "Fairy vs Normal" and "Psychic vs Dragon" and the winners enter the 16 playoffs.

You guys should institute a shiny clause for Scarlet/Violet. If you see one in the wild, you have the option to add it to your team. Regardless of the challenge parameters.

Challenge Idea/Suggestion: Random starters however you battle 4v4 VGC double battles format, however you both battle best of 3 with those random starters(fully evolved). Since VGC 4v4 is the official format and the world championship is just round the corner in Hawaii, it will be a fun way to explore a new battle format. #suggestion #idea #GGsquad
Need to do this all over again but have a set team of the best pokemon from each gen to see who's actually better. 1 legend 1 sudo and 6 regular mons. All the same random moves and abilities.

What do you guys use to mod the games for the videos?
Challenge idea. 10 minutes to catch 10 pokemon whatever you want including 1 legendary, but it’s best 2 out of 3 matches.
video idea. you catch pokemon on world picking. The catch is you have to spin a wheel that has evolve or keep on it. If you hit evolve you have to use a rare candy on it till you spin keep. Then you keep what ever you get keep on. You also get 2 skips.
Just seeing Legendaries just roaming around is sending me 🤯🤯

Y'all should redo this challenge on chillin's channel and use the actual movesets that the pokémon can learn with the abilities and a held item. That would be a better test to see which generation is the best.
I would love to see this challenge but you get to pick the Pokemon (with abilities and moves still being random of course). I'm sure some gens would surprise us.
I think for this fight there should be at least one more battle at least a best of 3. Where you change which gen you are using in the battle.
