The JR stands for Jim Rogers who is the other half and designer of the kit. They are usually full of flash, sink marks, and ejector pins. You managed to get a good example. Some of the other kits are a full time job to clean up. There are some items missing. If you do wish to build it, I suggest you watch the Clay Kemp videos. He gives some really good hints and tips. The open wheel modified that they just released is a really good kit and probably their best release.
Hi Nigel, Wow, what an interesting kit. I will be looking forward to seeing it built. BTW, I measured a few pennies, 1 cent, and they average about 1.5 mm. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Looks like you're going to have some fun building that lovely kit Nigel. I believe that kit will have the chassis with a couple of issues. But the company actually made a quick video ("Salvinos JR Models", channel) showing the issues and how to resolve them. They also have a membership where you get a new kit and an extra set of decals each month if you like their lineup of cars (not sure if that is only for domestic customers though). th-cam.com/video/z8QNir8-6PU/w-d-xo.html
Hey nigle there are flaps in the roof of nascar cars they only open when the car gets spun backwards they help keep them from becoming airborn Also need a little color help i have the italeri vosper mtb how close are the fs colors compared to the actual rn paint colors thanks Scott
Thanks for the shout out Nigel and I'm glad you like what you see. Looking forward to your build of the kit in the future. Take care!
No Bret.. THANK YOU for the lovely gifts!!
Very nice unboxing. It is really great to see everything in the box. A penny is roughly 1.0 mm thick. Thanks for sharing.
Great looking kit Nigel, look forward to see you build it.

And a bit late happy birthday Nigel.😅
Lovely looking kit Nige.
Thanks for this Video, just ordered this kit yesterday. I have not built a Salvinos JR kit before . So finding this review is very timely
Glad it was helpful! I have found the body needs a lot of clean up to remove sink marks and to get the side windows to fit properly.
@@NigelsModellingBench i think these are more of a craftsman kind of kit . I will take my time with it . Thanks for the heads up on that

Nice to see a car kit! Maybe a ‘57 Chevy or something in the future? Cheers.
Nice looking kit Nigel . And thanks to brett for the stickers
Hi Nigel, Engines are built by each manufacturer to the same set of rules - so that would be a Ford block you have there
Nice kit that mate I believe the jr is the initials of one of the owners and salvinos is the surname of the other
Nigel please build the model as a series.
fox's face appeared😊
Did you build it? I can't find the video.
Not yet Buddy...
