Man, so many memories of growing up on the south side and riding this with my mom. I remember being terrified of that part that went over the Ryan. There use to be a station at 63rd and Dan Ryan if memory serves. It didn't make the cut during the renovation back in 92?. 63rd and Halsted was a huge out door shopping mall, that spanned a few blocks. It was sheltered and had signature awnings. You could find virtually everything there. Then something changed, not sure if it was the management or lack there of, or economic changes but bit by bit people stopped coming, my mom started shopping at other places, stores started closing, then we moved out of the area. I returned there back in the 90's just to see what had become of the area and it was virtually abandoned and falling apart. There doesn't appear to be a single trace of it anymore.

Shame that the line past Cottage Grove was demolished. It's not a proper terminal.

Is there even a way to cross from one platform to another without paying again at Cottage Grove?
