- We got a day of sun so I’m off to Furry Creek on the Little One (WR250r). I check out the washout on Furry Downing Rd and Phyllis Lake.

You were almost at the Beth Lake trailhead. Worth the hike to Beth Lake, would have been another half hour or so to get there. Majestic old growth forest before surrounding the lake. Great place for a swim! I lived in Furry Creek for 12 years. Awesome area!
I still plan to cross that washout and will check out Beth Lake when I get across. It is a wonderful area.
About 10 k past that gate, is some of the best trout fishing, ever!
I need a small fishing rig for the motorcycle!
Nice trail ride, haven't been to Furry for about 7 years now. Not much to log as it has been picked over already. The trails are seriously overgrown but MC's are keeping a line of dirt going.
It's the 1st piece of dirt north of Vancouver so I end up there a lot. Agreed: mostly logged but still beautiful views and a stunner of a lake.
Grew up Capilano Road, hopped fence and hiked the Cap watershed many times as a keed. Heck, Cap was an active haul road when I was a youngster.
Cool. I've always wanted to ride it but I get why it is closed off.
Love that area. Nice work Michael!
Me too. You need to come with so we can get over the slide.
Looks like there hasn't been any heavy equipment or trucks up in that area for quite sometime! Followed your route past Phyllis Lake on google earth.......the Hydro Right of way ends up at the north end of Capilano Lake!! Thanks for the ride. Longing for my 2004 KLR!
Yes, quiet now. That right of way was talked about as a highway up until 1954! The GVRD had secured most of it in the 20s and put that idea to bed. My first off road bike was a KLR. Took me a long way.
