I was there too..... I had 2 tickets and my brother bailed on me so I sold the other one to a complete stranger....I can't remember how many high fives we had in that game!!! Probably the best football game I have ever enjoyed in person!
The Raiders should have given Tui a chance to start. I don't think they understood the talent he possessed. Players with that kind of will always figure out a way to succeed.
What the hell? 'Perhaps the greatest Husky performance ever?' That line should read, 'Perhaps the greatest game by a college quarterback in college history.' Has anyone to this day done 300 yards passing and 200 yards rushing?
By far my favorite Husky QB.
Two toughest
Tui

That family is a northwest sports legend.

I think a few guys have done 300/200 since, but none of them should have been on crutches after the first series. So impressive.
He’s still the only one to get 300-200. Manziel and now Jalen Hurts came close but not quite.
@@AaronStark1993 upon my recent research, I think Denard Robinson came the closest with 277 & 217.
The game was actually on October 30th 1999, NOT October 10th, FYI. 10-10-99 was a Sunday... ;)
Dew Train Thanks for the heads up!

When the Huskies rub out of the tunnel, score, or win a game, I hear that elephant roar. Where does that roar come from in the stadium?
I always just knew this guy as the Raiders backup quarterback, didn't realize he actually had some level of talent. No offense
Go Dawgs
Is Bob Rondo part Native American? That he does local casino commercials, also makes me think he may be. Of course, Sonny Sixkiller is Cherokee.
Anthony Vonture is deceased.
And he gets drafted by the Raiders....unfortunate.
is this why wilcox keeps him around? no way it's for the recruiting output...
