Just a thing, IDW is canon to the history of the games, that's why this comic got their characters added (The proof of this is characters like Tangle herself being mentioned in Sonic Frontiers)
PHANTOM RIDER with the mask and scarf, WHISPER THE WOLF, JEWEL THE BEETLE, LANOLIN THE SHEEP, BELLE TINKER, Dr STARLINE, SURGE THE TENRREC and KIT THE FENNEC, CLUTHCH THE OPOSSUM, MIMIC THE OCTOPUS, and finally DUO THE CAT. There is a lot more than that, but I've been typing for some time as is.
Honestly, I think it’s probably a Christmas reskin of an existing character, like charmy, storm the albatross, marine etc… But probably it’s gonna be a Christmas reskin of classics (except hcs).
Wanted to clear up who some of these characters are (I haven’t read the idw comics either) Kit the fennec is just to surge what tails is to sonic, smart and shy sidekick Lanolin the sheep is a sonic fan who joined up with sonic and friends to help make a difference in the world Dr starline is a villain who used to work for Eggman, but then formed his own team with other idw villains, and even zavok Belle the tinkerer is a robot made by Mr tinker, who is Eggman after losing his memory after forces Mimic the octopus is an assassin who can transform into anyone, he has also teamed up with starline And i have no idea about the last ones XD
Other possible IDW characters Duo the cat Jewel the beetle The Zombot characters And I’m just saying, if Sega wants to be a good company then they can let gamefam add super neo metal sonic . I’m just saying.
