- This video shows our diagnosis of a 2006 Ford Explorer that the theft light was flashing on and wouldn't crank over or start. The codes in the PATs system were B1600 and B1681. The PCM had a P1260 Vehicle Immobilized in it. In the end, it ended up being an issue with the remote start system preventing it from starting.
" Oh you gotta be shittin' me!" Lol
That is a sound of a man who spent too much time trying to fix an issue to find out it was easily fixed with a simple step lol. Been there, done that a time or two
Thank you! Any chance do you think this would work on an ‘02 Explorer? Same issue is occurring for me.
It’s the same system.
Good information sir
Thanks!
Will that work even if the trans receiver is bad

Where exactly is the anti theft system located?
What year, what vehicle. Some it’s in the PCM, some it’s in the instrument cluster.
@@CarShopTalk 07 ford explorer
@@destineesnuffer On a 2007 it’s primarily ran through the instrument cluster.
I don’t really know what to unplug
Unplug? The theft light flashing? Does it have an add on remote start?
