Toni, I just want to thank you! I learned how to crochet from a friend when I was 16 and pregnant and it's been my go-to stress reliever all these years. I'm 52 now and have learned so much from you, making crochet new and so much more fun! Never stop what you're doing -- you're a game changer! 😊
My granddaughter saw a car seat blanket that I made for my 8year old grand that was made from this stitch. This has been a go-to for me for years but didn’t have a name for it. I also do half crochet, double crochet often
I've known the basic sc/dc version uwt never thought of a hdc/dc version. I'm assuming it's a wider, denser and heifer weight. I'll definitely be using this version. TYVM😊
Years ago I wanted to make a Delores Umbridge cape with the houndstooth stitch. I was struggling to figure out the process of creating the entire pattern from scratch and learn a stitch at the same time. This is a helpful tutorial.
I love your instruction so much! I want you to know that any time someone asks me about how to crochet I refer them to your channel. You're the best! And you're an equally wonderful instructor for beginners and more advanced crocheters alike.
So freaking cool. This was the thing back in the day. Once I learn how to advance to making clothes, I'm going to make a cardigan and maybe a skirt (sweater material with a big butt makes me self-conscious).
Good morning Mrs. Toni. Thank you because with this demonstration I just learned how to make a sc and dch stitches. Yesssssss! God blessed you. I will share with you my fabric worked is crochet stitches.🙏
lemon peel is already my favorite stitch, but learning that just changing colors makes it into something more intricate blew my mind :D crochet is truly magic! ty for sharing!
Calling it fabric is totally throwing me off! 😂. Can’t get past it & strange to call yarn that after following you for years. Maybe “fibers” as it’s referred to for yarn? Oddly weird & uncomfortable especially being a previous quilter. You were the one to teach me the fundamentals of crochet & loving it! Much love.
I think ive been accidentally calling this stitch (lemon peel) by the wrong name for years, haha. Thank you for this tutorial, i think i have some ideas for projects.
Thank you so much for your incredible videos! I truly appreciate all the work you put into them. I was wondering if you or anyone you know has ever discussed topics about crafters with dyslexia and dyscalculia and how they navigate challenges like number counting, understanding patterns, measurements, and similar struggles. Do you have any tips or tricks to share? Thank you again for all that you do!
An idea for those who change out pillows for the season, for which I don't. No money or room for it. With this idea I might. Make a pillow cover with this or any other design. Personally I would place in a zipper. Change out the colors per season/occasion/holliday. One insert, many covers.
Beautiful ^^ Just wanted to point out though I think this one and the wave video have the wrong blanket at the beginning as they show the Tunisian crochet blanket but they're not Tunisian crochet techniques ^^'
You can't - these are one row stripes and the yarn colors won't be on the correct side to carry them up. Unless you kept 4 strands going on the project at a time :-)

great clear tutorial. If you're working on a smaller square seems like it would make sense to carry the yarns across rather than cut after each row.
Love your teaching style ! So easy to understand- can’t thank you enough ❤
So simple for such a beautiful pattern! Thank you!

Thank you! I love that stitch but I never thought to alternate colors with it 😮
Yes! It makes it look completed different, right? So pretty

Love it!❤
You are Awesome ❣️ I have been wanting to learn this stitch for a long time ❣️ Finally someone I get ❣️ Thank You So Much ❤️❤️
You should look for the large hound tooth stitch.
I think ive been accidentally calling this stitch (lemon peel) by the wrong name for years, haha. Thank you for this tutorial, i think i have some ideas for projects.

So many ends to weave!!! 😱 but I trust you Toni!
Beautiful! I like to carry the color I'm not using..fewer ends to weave in. 😅
Omg!! I need it ❤
yes you do!! This is such a fun stitch and turns out so pretty.

Could you change color every 3 rows for a larger houndstooth?
💜💜💜
I'm confused I thought this was part of the Tunisian throw. Does the throw contain regular crochet too?
That's what I thought, too 🧶
How these ends to be managed
Sarebbe bello se tu aggiungessi la traduzione automatica ai tuoi tutorial 🙂🙏
Why no just carry your color from row to the next rather than fastening off?
You can't - these are one row stripes and the yarn colors won't be on the correct side to carry them up. Unless you kept 4 strands going on the project at a time :-)
