"Yeah. There's this fringe podcast by this Fear Factor guy."
"The UFC guy?"
"Yeah."
"What does he talk about? Kicks to the head and farts?"
"Yeah... and black holes with sir Roger Penrose."
Not fringe
“Fringe podcast” it’s literally the biggest podcast on earth lol
If you get this guy to say “that’s an intriguing question” you know you’re a damn good interviewer
100% and I bet rogan was pumped when that happened.
Met him in Oxford this year, a man who never fails to praise others and is steadfast in his work even in his nineties
I really enjoyed this interview. Thanks Joe and Sir Penrose! Crazy day at the office and just what I needed.
"Infinity is blue, from the outside."
Death, from Terry Pratchett's book Soul Music
This man is a brilliant genius, I could listen to him all day...wow
Thank God for Joe Rogan. This is pure magic, he just sits there and takes it all in, so rare these days.
So proud of this fellow Brit, he’s national treasure and a gift to all societies. Joe done a great job here and have him the respect he deserved.
Joe Rogan is extremely bright, but when you are in the presence of someone like Sir Roger Penrose you reliaze just how super intelligent some people are. If you aren't aware and in awe of such intelligence you just aren't aware period.
Kinda like how he seems very knowledgeable about cars, but then Chris Harris comes on his podcast.
In summary, it's a pleasure and an honour to listen to this man speak.
Is Joe going to ask him if he's done DMT?
Nah the guy is genuinely intelligent, he doesn't need drugs to pretend he is.
@vunderground1 Pretty sure he's dead and I'm not into Ouji boards.
@@DJCallidus w out drugs joe roegan is a fucking idiot like anyone else
Or had elk meat for that matter.
Jason R S he’s probably never seen one but he has a theory of what that looks like. He calls it...........G-String theory. 😅 Ok I’ll see my way out now.....
Penrose is so underrated
Such a humble attitude from such a smart man natural in every way.Love Roger Penrose distinguished English gentleman.
Never thought much about Joe's show but he has gotten to be a good interviewer. I subscribed. 😊
I could listen to this guy talk about space and physics for 1000 years and still be intrigued.
So basically Einstein predicted the existence of dark energy by thinking of the Universe as being static...
You know you are a genius when you can't make a mistake even if you did! xΔ
NUKE Nobody: All Physicist after Einstein: Find me all of the “mistakes” Einstein did. The answers are there.
This is the best podcast online right now. The guests just get better. So much variety and topics.
Joe Rogan is interviewing some of the most brilliant people who ever lived. You have to admire this guy’s wide ranging curiosity.
I love how Sir Penrose says photons “probably” dont have conscious experiences, keeping the possibility open, no matter how unlikely and absurd.
Well, that’s the idea of panpsychism, which has become surprisingly popular and fashionable among philosophers today!
loved this interview .... more like this please joe :D
i love Roger Penrose; just by the way he reacts to questions you can tell how open his mind is
Sir Roger Penrose is an absolute legend. Even more so for going on Joe's show aswell.
Sir Roger is the most deserving of Knighthood of any scientist ever. Sir Roger for King! I love how he politely says they don't have time to go into it, which is an extremely gentlemanly way of saying I don't want to spend the next three weeks explaining it to you, but you know if you really asked him he would.
Comb-over haircut - Check
Tweed jacket over knitted sweater - Check
Coke bottle glasses - Check
This guy's legit
We can't tell but I'm sure he smells of homemade soup also
Definitely one of the more trustworthy of Joe Rogan’s guests: many other of his guests are not particularly trustworthy…
How soothing the old man voice is 😂
Whatever floats your boat, we’re not judging ❤️❤️❤️
This is the type of content that we need!! And it s sad that most of the people don't realize that knowledge means power.
Joe Rogan casually having a conversation with one of the greatest minds of our generation. The quality of guests on JRE is amazing. JRE is the #1 podcast in the world for a reason!
No doubt... Then you get people like Logan paul trying to claim #1 podcast in the world lmao!.... maybe #1 for trending whoever- the- fuck made whatever- the- fuck pop cultural impact, only to have Logan and Mike asking this guy who he's fucked lately, then talking about themselves and how cool they are the last 30 min
It used to be
I don't ever want to stop hearing him talking. To call this interesting just is a devastatingly understating. I'm more than curious about what he is saying, I can't stop listening.
19:16 Sir Roger Penrose does a Christopher Walken impression
AlpaChino2shae LMAO
Bruh.....I don’t know where you guys come up with such hilarious stupidity only on the internet! I can’t stop laughing!!! 🤭😆😂🤣😭😭😭💀
this guy is a living legend, absolutely love roger penrose
okeyyy... for the first time in a JRE video, I feel pretty stupid...
You're mistake was thinking yo're smart for listening to JRE
Ahab T never claimed to be smart for watching JRE... where have you read that? 🙂
@Reg Gia fuck you
@Reg Gia I really don't understand how you got that conclusion
Then you're ignorant because I know for sure that there are dozens of other interviewed guests that would make you or I feel stupid
Koodoos to Joe for guesting these geniuses and for his patient. Joe could've, many times, interrupted him when he couldn't understand all.
DEEP STUFF.
LOVE THIS VIDEO.
thats Einstein of our Era joe is amazing.
a former Ufc commentator interviewing a physics nobel laureate... quite decently too.. gawd i love the internet
Just imaging sitting in your armchair and worrying about what the Universe will be like when all the black holes have popped out of existence. I find it amazing that a fellow human has a mind like that, and yet others amongst us can't fart and chew gum at the same time.
From cosmological thoughts to fart while u chew???? Wtf
@@earlmyname4257 I have a feet fetish 😂 yummy 😋 I love smelly feet 🦶
The top of Joe's head is blinding me!
A up alburt
albert Einstein im gonna expose you im the real albert einstein
😂
Why are you so obsessed with light Albert??
Do you have an A in physics? Because Jamie does!
I keep expecting this cat to say, "Now, do try to be careful, 007."
My favorite episode ever, I love how he casually brings up Lex Fridman's Father Alexander foreshadowing future podcasts
Does penrose know that Artem is the goat?
Love to watch more podcast like this living legend..
Joe: "Infinite mass"
Oh, no.
Haha yeah
“Well, the mass is quite well-defined actually”, haha! I love that correction from Penrose!
It’s inspiring to listen to someone so intelligent.
Penrose and Escher were friends. That's astonishing enough in itself. Well done JR. Where else can you get this sort of stuff free?
This is exactly what a British philosopher should look like!
Straight from central casting!
Hes a physicist...
@@DJLiddle He's both.
@@MrSkyrimfan No. No. he's not.
Hi Joe:
I have to say: I started watching your program out of interest in martial arts, UFC etc. Like everyone else.
But at this point I have to say you’re one of the best interviewers out there
Between this, the interview with Elon Musk, and others
One of the few programs where important thinkers and doers can get into subjects in depth
We get a sense of these people as human beings, not just the usual soundbites
Keep it up, and thank you!
You think Joe reads old comment sections in video that is not even his channel?
That moment when somebody explains something and you understand it even less than before 😵😂😂
Because it's bs
*you* are BS
@@dluvv19761 no ur just dumb stop calling things u dont understand bs
I'm really happy this guy didn't die during the podcast
Greatest podcast in history.
This man is 87. Wow. Can we just let that sink in?
He’s 87 and extremely nimble is his freestyle presentation.
Yeah I’ve never heard a person that old be that smart. Or to even know about this topic. All the old ppl I know don’t know shit about shit lol
Fun fact...he farted like 6 times during the interview! His mind is sharp...but he can cut cheese as well!
And still able to talk about this stuff like he's teaching it in class. that's a sharp mind.
he does look and sound senile
Listening to this made me feel like i was getting both smarter and dumber at the same
You would think Jamie got an A in physics comments woukd get old. It doesnt :D
For real. That and the whole Joe "stupid thing said here" Rogan stuff has gotten old too!
I don’t really get it did he say at some point he got an A or something or am I retarded?
he did say it yes @@muddymerkutio
I love listening to Prof. Penrose. Thanks, Joe.
This guys brilliance is on another level
