As a boating noob, I'm looking HARD at one of these. What's the difference between the engine on the 190 vs the 195? How much faster/more torque does the 195 have vs the 190 and are there any other benefits? My dealer only has 2021's and I see this review was done in 2019. Have there been any or many changes? The new hull was launched in 2019, and that was a big change from 2018. From 2019 to 2021 the changes were smaller. We did review a 2020 195S here (th-cam.com/video/Gd_kZhCk-qw/w-d-xo.html) and it has a few upgrades over the 190, such as more sculpted seating, a forward tow arch, the larger 7" Connext screen and... the more powerful supercharged SVHO engine, which allowed us to hit 49 mph in the 195S. Both are awesome boats and your Yamaha dealer probably knows a lot more about the incremental details than we do though. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy the reviews!
I wouldn't with that hull design. No transom, a following sea would be a problem. Not much sheer or freeboard either. This is a planing lake boat. It would be OK in protected waters but I wouldn't go anywhere near real waves or offshore.
