You uploaded this on my birthday, and here I am now, relying on it to build a parallax for a client. Thanks for the birthday gift, my apologies I didn't find it sooner!
Good tutorial, just wanna add that Ctrl + Left click on the thumbnail of layer also selects the object. saves you a few clicks as you don't need to hide anything.
Fabulous. I was learning the parallax effect in PS only using PS timeline. I transitioned the layers created in PS to P Pro being primarily a video editor. Then I found your video! Took me to a whole new level. Awesome job. Thanks for making this.
Absolutely fantastic tutorial! You explained everything in such a clear and concise manner. I really appreciate what you’ve done here and I can’t wait to try this effect in one of my projects. You earned a new subscriber! Look forward to watching more of your tutorials. Cheers mate! 😀👍🏻
Hey man, to be honest, there are so many monitors on the market now that it’s difficult to suggest anything specific. Just read reviews and avoid the ones rated low.
I was always intrigued about this effect i kept seeing on my favorite channels. Then all the drama surrounding MagnatesMedia channel got me the "parallax effect" name. Searching for it got me your channel. Now, the thing is I do not use Ps or Pr, but DaVinci Resolve and Affinity Photo. I do believe it is possible to replicate with both of them. Will surely give it a try.
You can do that by cutting the object in photoshop or other editing software (you will then have just a separate layer for the weapon let's say). Then you just changing the position of the object on the timeline the same way as I did in the video.
Im not sure what Im doing wrong. Every time I do object selection and go back it doesn't give me the option for content aware fill. Does this work with Beta?

How would I make a character move or turn his head around and maybe lower his weapon?
You can do that by cutting the object in photoshop or other editing software (you will then have just a separate layer for the weapon let's say). Then you just changing the position of the object on the timeline the same way as I did in the video.
2:21 If I don't select the entire image, it all deletes/disappears when I go into "select and mask" and hit OK.
It depends on what kind of image you have on the screen and if you selected the right layer.
Is there anyway to have all layers "parented" together similar to VEGAS?
Not sure how it works in VEGAS, but to parent all layers into one layer - simply select layers and click “nest”.
Thank you
You are welcome!
4:08: Mine only opens one window (the one on the right).
Not sure what is wrong with your photoshop. It always opens two windows 🥴
It'll be so easy with a simple camera object or z axis 😢
Whch Premiere pro lacks
True... they have After Effects for that...

Probably you need to select the correct layer and rasterize it first.
Select layer: CTRL + left click on the layer icon ;)
Shortcuts is not my strong side 😂
with the ai powered generative tool, it has become even easier. just write "remove object"
True thing
tip: you can do CTRL + Click on a layer to select everything on that layer really quick
Yes, but it will not be accurate.
Thanks,
I would go with After Effects
May be am overkill in some scenarios.
