BRING YOUR PHOTOS TO LIFE using 2.5D parallax animation | Photoshop & After Effects Tutorial

  • In this weeks video we are going to learn how to bring your photos to life and make them more interesting using the parallax 2.5D animation effect.This is a great technique that can be used to make your photos more interesting before uploading them to Instagram.
    We will be using Adobe Photoshop to split my photo into separate layers and animate their scale. Then we will be taking the split up photo into Adobe After Effects and using a 3D camera and the puppet tool to animate it even further.

    Seen a lot of videos on animating photos in both Photoshop and After Effects, yours is definitely the best! Explanation very clear; you mention the tools, what they are used for and other relevant information to them as well as the shortcuts. This is an example of how a TH-cam tutorial should always be!     2:50 the "Quick Selection" tool would have made easy work of that.... Messing around with brush size and holding Alt to remove any accidentally added parts turns a 5-15 minute job into a 30 second job with almost unrecognizable differences!

      Definitely would have made easy work with my example but not with everyones and its a good skill to know how to use the pen tool which is why I used it :)

      You can use paint 3d to separate layers automatically toooooo if you don't have photoshop

      It’s a stock video with too low frame rate to slow down, just used for demonstration.. sure you can find better for yourself :)

    I am in 100% agreement with everyone here, this level of a professional tutorial clearly explaining and showing each point and not skipping the basic instructions for the beginners is not something i always see on TH-cam channels even with a mil subs.. and u r at only 6.8k !! ..fantastic work
