I don't think you would have the capability to deorbit. No amount of pushing off the space station would be enough, and I doubt there's enough fuel in the jetpack either.
You would de-orbit _eventually,_ but you'd be dead long before.
For comparison, a bag of tools drifted off the ISS in 2008, and took 8 months to come down.
Using the "jetpack" wouldn't make a significant difference either, because you're already travelling at 17,100 mph (27,500 kph). The pack would only have enough delta-v to change that by a few mph.
Like the toolbag, your body would burn up upon re-entry into the atmosphere. To successfully return to Earth, you'd need heat-shields.
It is that bad. I'm a 56 year old woman with a fear of heights and its so scary the panic is unbelievable. But watching it was hilarious especially when the camera floated into space. Although scary it was an experience.
Fun Fact! When Jack says “My Back hurts” (7:05) it’s actually his kidneys responding to the massive flow of adrenaline that playing this game caused.

I never heard or had that thought about laying on the grass and looking up making you feel like ur gonna fall off earth. That's actually quite damn scary major props for attempting this I hate the thought of space too. And under water. The other day as I was driving, the sky started getting to the point of almost black, was at that dark blue stage and there were huge, long dark clouds in the sky. I had the thought of "imagine you were blind and then suddenly seeing clouds for the first time" and I got super terrified ☹️ even tho I knew what clouds were and that I was perfectly safe. Just a very uncomfortable and overwhelming feeling.
I have that feeling too. It's worse if you lay on your back and lean your head back far enough that you're viewing things upside down. The reason you feel like you're going to "fall" is because of how your brain interprets depth. We normally view the ground at 5-6 feet up (the distance from the surface to your eyes), but when viewing things upside down, the ground is now a "ceiling" and the sky has become a bottomless pit, so your brain thinks it's about to "fall."
I need so many more of these because I have never laughed so hard in my life😂 I have never felt so bad for someone while simultaneously dying of laughter

Love the little "boing" Alice added when the camera went floating off into space, but I was just as scared shitless as Sean when I played this on my Rift. I can't even go up a ladder without my acrophobia kicking in, so being 250 miles above the Earth was downright terrifying.

Many astronauts actually do experience the feeling of falling but really you're fine. You can't fall. You're moving with the inertia of the ISS and you're in a basically zero gravity environment. So not only do you have a pretty solid tether but you have essentially a jet pack and partners to help you. You don't need to constantly burn fuel either. All you need is a little push in your desired direction and you'll go in that direction.
I got myself a rift a few years ago and this was one of the things I tried. I was living at a school dorm at the time, and lots of People visited my room to try it out themselves. This included the dorm manager, who had worked as a professional pilot for years and always dreamt of going to space. He was absolutely amazed by it.
A little later he held a daily meeting for all dorm members, starting it with the line "15 minutes ago, I was orbiting the earth on the ISS." He talked about it for almost 15 minutes. Everyone thought he had finally lost it haha. Great times
