Literally, the human relationships of the androids are the real narrative fuel, so Kara’s human relationship as mother figure to a human child is the only thing fueling her narrative. Alice being an android dismantles the nature of their relationship, and leaves you with no meaning to the storyline other than two boring robots mimicking human life.

Everything she's done has been to play along with Kara's delusions and basically manipulate her into protecting her as a 'human child'. Despite any player reaction one may have, the rest of Kara's story still centers around protecting Alice, even though that relationship has been built on the lies of every character involved, as well as the writers. I really wish there was a "sacrifice Alice" prompt at the Border, or in general. Speaking of the Border, that entire situation was dumb. Without any explanation, Kara continues onwards in that line even though there's no realistic chance of getting through. The security letting your through out of compassion is dumb as they are already shooting deviants there, and how the 'sacrifice' option pans out is almost as stupid. Not to mention how this scene basically yells at the player: "This is not about Kara. This about Alice, that little shit who's been lying to you and manipulating you this whole time," and, in some cases: "also, the only other decisions that mattered besides who's here is the public opinion shit with Markus, and the dumb TVs." Of all the reasons for public opinion to matter, it was NEVER about the VIEW ON THE ANDROIDS AS A RACE. It only mattered in the game to CONVINCE A GUARD TO LET KNOWN DEFECTIVE, PROBABLY MURDEROUS PRODUCTS INTO YOUR COUNTRY.
