Great build! One tip: any torque wrench extension must be put at 90 degrees or you will have false torque values!

if they are the standard honda bars for that model there are index dots on them that you line up wth the faces of the clamps

I will look for that, but this isn't the standard clamp. Thanks for the tip!

Another great video! What bike is that chrome fender you used from?

Honestly I'm not sure... Someone ripped the tag off the bike at the yard I pulled it from. Bolt pattern looked close so I pulled it and lined it up with a GL1100 they had in the yard and it looked close enough so I bought it. It is for a bike with narrower forks so I had to bend the mounts outwards a bit but it fits and I like it. It was one of the bikes he pointed at when I asked if he had any CB900C in the yard but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a CB900C. If I figure it out I will let you know!
      Thanks for watching!

Unless you are adjusting the amount of torque on the wrench to compensate, over tightening the bits you made tools for. You're adding length to the lever. I believe you can hold your torque wrench at 90 degrees to the tool you made and that will cancle out the added length but it didn't look like you did that. Also, aren't you supposed to seat those tapered rollers and then back off the nut? Maybe the headset isn't like wheel bearing, I don't know for sure.

My understanding was 0 degrees (straight out like in the video) or 90 degrees would yield the same results but it is very likely I was mistaken. A lot of people say they seated them per the manual and had a shake and had to tighten more. Either way on this bike they're fully seated and smooth with no shake or wobble. Everything seems to be great!

What chrome fender is that? What bike is it for?

Front is from an 81 CX500, rear is from an 81 CB900C. Got them for 20 each at the local bone yard. Rear took some modifications to fit under the seat, the front bolted right on with a little outward pull of the mounting tabs.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
