Steven Jackson and Steve Smith Sr. were really good NFL players.
Can you imagine if Steve Smith Sr would have been on the Colts with Manning as his quarterback.
@@1EddieDennisIt would have been awesome having him on the squad. The Colts would have won at least one more Lombardi Trophy during that era and Smith Sr. would've been a champion before retiring.
Smith Sr is a top quality player, shocked he doesn’t get more respect
Flacco was nominated to the Pro Bowl but declined it to be at his kid's birth. Put some respect on his name
Corey Dillon was a beast back in the day. He was the best thing the Bengals had going for a while
Jackson was stuck on some awful Rams teams and management didn't do him any favors by not trading him in his prime. That explains the lack of accolades.
Jackson was amazing. TPS never watched football, they just look it up online
Different eras bring Different stats
And rule changes really impact stats a lot more than you think.
Troy Aikman looks very mid today, but was one of the best in the early to mid 90’s for instance.
Corey Dillion was goin off for shy three hundred yards in games with many other games 150plus and 4 tds dude was the bengals best player forever it felt like
Best player by miles. So much so he complained about having no teammates on the pro bowl with him. Ppl either forget or overlook how great of a rb he was.
Steven Jackson was a freaking beast I remember his draft I wanted my cowboys to draft him I hated we passed on him and Jackson was on some terrible teams and was consistent over his time with the rams
As a Patriots fan, he was so underrated. Really was such a shame that outside of his rookie season, he could never get opportunities to show his worth more in the playoffs.
Steve smith deveres to be in the hall immediately
Dion Sanders: Sees this vidoe, enters the draft as Leon Sandcastle, and gets 2 more INTs.
10 NFL Legends who should have been 1st ballot Hall of Famer
Patrick Willis, Derrick Thomas...

Love your video TPS and keep up the great work
You ignored that Lawrence Taylor doesn't get credit for sacks in his rookie season since the NFL didn't make it an official statistic until Taylor's 2nd season. Deacon Jones who coined the term "quarterback sack" has no sacks officially in the NFL.
No, although near the end of Reggie White’s career Deacon claimed he went through all his game film and had more sacks in a single season than Mark Gastineau, and more career than LT. don’t remember whether he claimed to have more that Reggie when he eclipsed Taylor’s career total.
@@75aces97what does that have to do with the comment lol
@@Teemoney612 because Deacon wasn’t credited with any sacks in the official record, but believed he should be based on his own research.
@@75aces97 the comment never said anything thing about that bro.read it again.only thing he said about deacon is that he coined the term “qb sack”
Steven Jackson is one of the most underrated RBs ever, he got his stats on a very bad Rams team, where everyone knew he was getting the ball and was our entire offense, thats why is so great
Idea: NFL players that never made the pro bowl and make the hall of fame
Please do every teams best player, not in the Hall of Fame (non-current)
Video idea: do the top 10 sleeper WRS in the NFL that helped out big time for NFL QBS
Different time for guys in the 90s and before. I remember seeing a stat. In 94 2 QBs threw for 4000 yards. In 2017 15 QBS
It seems that passing yard stats are starting to plateau a bit but yeah the 2010s were absolutely insane for passing yards.
How come you don’t count Warren Moon’s CFL passing yards? His total CFL & NFL numbers puts him in the top 10 all-time, and San Diego native Damon Allen is a top 3 passer in pro football.
It's how the NFL does their stats. If so, Moon would be in consideration for GOAT talks
NFL
@@bpwildbill11 plus Warren Moon threw a nice deep ball. One of the best gunslingers at QB.
Put some respect of Steven Jackson name! Bro was the beast mode before beast mode. I personally don’t think shady McCoy is a HOF back. He was just on better teams
Shady is a HOFer, stop it... "better teams" my ass.
8:33 Lmao
Best video y’all have released in awhile
cutler: hold my completions aikman: hold my rings
Gotta stop the Flacco slander, he’s the true goat.
😂 yeah compared to Dilfer. But I would take him over Eli.
So glad cutler was on the thumb nail! One the most underrated guys from his era.
Yk what's funny about that? He still never passed for 4,000 yards while in Chicago....😬😬
@bojanglesmusic true, but he had like 3900/3800 a handful of times tho.
@@bojanglesmusiche got close though
@@bojanglesmusicit’s Chicago their best qb in franchise history played in the 40s
NO HE wasn’t HE was a underachiever HE never got even close to living up to His talent and potential too funny HE said Jay Cutler of all QBs was underrated LMAOO
Joe Flacco was a good QB no bs
Jackson makes perfect sense. He was the team at one point vs Shady having at least a good WR with him.
Oh so Tory holt and Issac Bruce were terrible?
@@SL-ld9tn they weren't around at a certain point
" Ice up, Son "
The Smith Sr disrespect needs to stop. If you put Harrison in Smith Sr. team/qb than he’s just a good not all time great receiver. Give Steve a peyton manning for most of his career and he’s probably a top 6 receiver all time. I’m not surprised he has more yards. Steve Smith Sr. is a dawg.
Several players deserve way better than what experts suggest otherwise while few others are misunderstood they deserve recognition, as for Michael Carter the Jets should've traded him to a worthy contender for 2025 conditional late round pick, he was serviceable at best and I'm sure he'll find a new home
Steve Smith never had the elite qb Marvin Harrison did eather are he would have been by fr the better wr in my opinion
I came to the comments to say "Yeah, imagine if Steve Smith had Peyton Manning as a quarterback."
Don't forget Harrison also benefited from faulk, edgerrin james, and Reggie Wayne along with Payton. I'd still take Harrison over Smith but I doubt Harrison could have down what Smith did on those teams.
I'm almost positive last time I looked it up Cam Newton has more total touchdowns his first eight years then Brady, Breese, and Big Ben. He started 3 less games then Elway and had more yards, touchdowns and interceptions his first 10. But nobody wants to have that conversation.
Put some respect on Steven Jackson name!
Steven Jackson was beast mode before beast mode. He could also catch out of the backfield.
Aside for 2 Super Bowls wins and an MVP Terrell Davis is in the HOF with 7607 rushing yards in seven seasons. He really had 4 great seasons at the start of his career. While Running Back with 10k + rushing yards aren’t even in the HOF. 🤦🏻
Ifb Joe Montana played in today game he would put up unreal numbers and you could hit QB's back then and ref didnt make up rules on the field
Some of these aren’t too surprising. The NFL was more of a rushing league in the 1980’s. If a QB did throw for 300 yards in a game in the 80s, it was often an indication that the team was playing from behind. Or that the running game had failed.
Aikman could definitely throw, but just didn’t have to as often as some people probably remember. When your offensive line can open holes 6 feet wide for Emmitt Smith to run through, you shouldn’t throw it most downs.
LT has a lot of sacks, but dropping a Quarterback was one of several things he was better at than most defensive players. whatever the other offense was trying, you wanted Taylor on the field.
Most Yards Per Carry by a Running Back: Jamal Charles > Every HOF RB.
😁
Steven jackson should be a hall of famer and so should steve smith. Dude never had a payton manning and still put up numbers like that
if brady played in the 80s or 90s without ref security how does he go?
Steven Jackson wasn’t a scrub or anything like that so why we acting like he was? Plus Shady McCoy was more utilized as an all purpose back even during his prime. Then the Warren Moon/Carson Palmer comparison is only discussed because Warren went undrafted and spent multiple years in the CFL. Carson was really good in Cincy early on and solid for two years at the end in Arizona. So I’m not surprised that he has more career touchdown passes.
Eric Allen should be in the hof. It’s a shame.
Tbh the only truly shocker is smith sr over Harrison. But I think you overlooked the fact Steven Jackson was on 2 playoff teams his entire career. One was 8-8 and the other he was only on for 4 games. Dude was a monster on some of the worst teams ever.
That’s why Montana is atleast top 5
Bo Jackson has less rushing yards then Jim Harbaugh
Damn I wish I knew that. For when people claim Bo would have been a Hofer. I will point out ickey woods but Jim harbaugh is better to make my case lol.
Wow by 5 yards.
This video taught me that Joe Flacco is the true GOAT
I have one problem here and it's a big one. Are you going to tell me Steve Smith Sr with bums as a QB every year still being in the top 10 wr every year is who you compare Marvin Harrison to with an entire career of Peyton Manning? Stop it
Steve Smith was GREAT and it’s not surprising and I disagree that Harrison was better than Steve Smith and it’s not close
Joe Montana racked up those yards passing to Jerry Rice, who did Joe have?
How stats can be twisted to win any argument. Romo is statistically the best QB of the cowboys.
joe flacco wasnt that bad of a QB. i would take him over Matt stafford
How about Ricky waters having more rushing n receiving yards than Franco Harris, jim brown n a few others
You shouldn’t be surprised with aikman he was jimmy g of the 90s he wasn’t that good just on a loaded team with a HOF coach
Troy was actually good. You probably didn't watch football before 2010
@@JeffreyWashington-sn2ei he wasn’t his numbers even for the 90s are pedestrian with guys like Harper, Smith and Michael Irvin no all-pro nods only 6 pro bowls(which is a popularity contest anyway) you can’t use the 90s as an excuse qbs were throwing 30+ tds even back then
Not surprised about Cutler at all. He had some really solid seasons that most people don't acknowledge. He's rightfully an HoFer, but he won't be voted in. And he doesn't care. But, no. Cutler doesn't surprise me at all.
I'm one of the few Cutler fans and followed him from Vanderbilt. But I don't even think he's a hofer. Hof talent absolutely. But it's kinda nice to see someone else also point out he wasn't as awful as they claim.
@@jasonnelson6624 Same. I was angry the Bears didn't draft him in the first place. I posted a blog YEARS ago with his stats (minus INTs because every QB has them) and most people thought I was posting Brady' or Peyton's stats. People refused to see how good he was because, like Stabler, he refused to be who they wanted him to be. Cutler was a very special kind of QB. Some of his stats surpassed some HoFer stats, but no one's ready for that conversation...
@@GinaBlythe that's funny you mentioned Stabler. As a kid my mom used to waitress a bar that all the players went to. I would be there as a kid hearing the Stabler stories, and yes he deffinatly was who he was at all times. He is a QB that is worthy of the hof strictly for his role and importance to those Oakland Raiders. As you said Int are missleading. The best example I can think of is Josh Allen he throws a lot of ints. But how many are on 3rd down and are basically just punts? What annoyed me most with Cutler was how the media killed him for not playing injured as if he was soft. He took a beating.
@@jasonnelson6624 I grew up watching Stabler and my mom's a Raiders fsn, so knew all about The Snake. Cutler, to me, reminds me of an above average McMahon. I call Cutler Punky QB 2.0 because that's how he played. However, unlike McMahon, Cutler wasn't average. He's one of the two all-time great QBs in Bears history. The other one retired in 1950...
@@GinaBlythe it's clear your a Bears fan. I initially was gonna disagree with the McMahon comparison but I can see your point. It is sad that such a storied team has really lacked in the QB department. I'm assuming you were referring to Luckman?
The Matt Ryan disrespect is strong
Aye in fairness John Abraham was kinda sweet he was nice
Abraham was a top tier pass rusher for a few years
Russell Wilson more touchdown passes than Kurt Warner?
Tom Brady and his brother have won more Super Bowls than the Manning brothers. And Tom Brady doesn’t have a brother.
Marino’s a BORDERLINE Hall of Famer? He’s a BONAFIDE Hall of Famer
Palmer was more passing TDs in NFL, if they had let black people play QB in the 80s or if you count Moons total professional TDs it's a different story.
Alex smith more awards then John elway
They play more games that are less physical now
Wow
Rank tight ends and punter
Did he call Joe Flacco a journeyman?
Ol Joe got a ring tho
These videos show yall dont know football. Just look up stats and think that is the story. What makes it worse is you literally say why the stats are misleading but whatever lol
Steven Jackson was one of the best in the league
5 players who dont belong in the hall of fame and 5 who do
Lawerance Taylor is low because they didn't count half of his sacks.
Steve Smith > Marvin Harrison
JC was done wrong firing of Shanahan at the wrong time. One of the very few bad moves by Mr. B. I would still roll back the clock and see JC and Mike Shanahan in Orange and Blue.
Alotta QBs have better stats than Aikman, he just has 3 rings
A lot of these aren’t surprising lol
Well … Brady may have more 💍s than Montana …I’ll take Montana over Brady any day
It's a different league lmao 😂😂
I dont think any NFL fan feels Smith had less than Harrison. Smith was a beast!
And Aikman was just a really good Game Manager on a stacked Cowboy team!
Most of these on this list is not shocking
Montana still might be better than Brady. It is a different era and that’s a big deal. The game barely cares about running backs these days. Raheem Mostert is leading the league in rushing and td’s. It’s just not as important unless the back can catch. The interception list is easy, they didn’t throw at Deion. There’s so many garbage yards these days also. Sacks didn’t really matter that much until the 90’s. They didn’t even count them until the 70’s.
Palmer was in a badly ran bengals team
Irvin wasn't that great. Just got on a winning team and was loud
Comment number 17
I feel like the fact that Steve Young, Joe's clone replaced him in Sanfrancisco it allowed him to be forgotten by history.
The Aikmam stat doesn't surprise me. Troy Aikman is one of the most overrated QBs of all time. And that's coming from a Cowboys fan
Why is this guy announcing your product? He literally doesn’t know how to pronounce historic football names. Is this some 27 year old from Seattle that doesn’t have a clue about actual football or the league he’s supposed to be commenting on?
Not better then Taylor but still Abraham was nice
Stephen Jackson was slightly better than Shady...
I was shocked that Joe Namath has more fairly won superbowls than Tom Brady.
Steven Jackson was a better rb than shady
Montana is not the second best qb of all time
Marvin Harrison was not better than Steve Smith
You have to be joking with the Steven Jacksom/Lesean McCoy one. Awful take right there
Jackson/McCoy is a reach lol
Troy Aikman isn’t even the best Cowboys QB. Ik he won the majority of their superbowls but Staubach was miles better at least for his time
Stephen Jackson was better than Mcoy
I'll keep saying it Troy Aikman is one of the most overrated hall of famer of all time
