About Pallabi: Pallabi Chatterjee has become a famed name among the emerging young Bharatnatyam artists. She has started taking lessons since she was a toddler from renowned gurus. Her inspiration towards her work has always been her grandmother (A.K.A. Amma). She's been a constant who have supported and motivated her during her ups and downs. Dedicated a mammoth hard work and have achieved a niche for herself. A wise man once said, "a dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work", she has proven time and again. Last year she have received an award of "GURUSHREE" from Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad as one of her disciples stood first in the BHARATNATYAM genre, an open competition conducted by the same across the country. At present, she has an institution under the name SHASTRIYAM nurturing all different age group/s imparting the authentic essence of the dance form. Her mission for life is to be an epitome for contributing and promoting the South Indian dance form.
