Laser light is not only from stimulate emission but also come from spontaneous emission. You can have a check the Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE). ASE can also become a laser.

Hey there. I'm confused in the part in stimulated emission where photon hits the atom at E2 and the atom goes to E1 releasing 2 photons. Why doesn't the atom go to even higher energy level say E3 when hit with photon like it went from E1 to E2 in Induced absorption method?
