Bottom line: it takes a critical mass of population before a rural land can become urbanized, and Wyoming’s geography has prevented that critical mass from forming. And so the state remains mostly rural.

I live in Oregon, Klamath county is slightly over 100 miles north to south and is largely forested, and mountainous, the climate is High Desert,(dry) and elevation averages 3500 ft

Because of horizontally blown snow nine months a year. Frigid late May polar vortex winds that blow your mobile home down the street like prairie tumbleweeds. Desolation, Being a mile high, you are up in the clouds all the time. Many places almost two miles high. Wyoming is "Montana lite."

The case is exactly similar in Eastern European provincial towns; I find solace somehow in knowing that a part of the civilised world could f**k up just as badly and produce Wyoming

Lived here all my life, saving to move out. The wind will rip a car door out of your hands, the people are gruff, and the landscape is brown or white most of the year. There are beautiful places, I live in the NE (Great plains), but you can't afford it.

Because no one made a TH-cam video blabbing about how cool it is yet. So much for that. I bet we got every border invader heading there now.

And yet each state gets two senators. Californias economy is as large as an independent country and it's carrying all these poor underpopulated states yet Cali has the same only TWO senators. It's ridiculous.

Just how many representatives does California have in the House? Poor California, picked on and abused.
