They basically wants to be MJ but have ball in their hands all the time. Point guard in 2k, especially in random Rec ( pro am is something different, usually point guard is the one that score the most) , should flow the offense and be the floor general!! Of course you have to score and more important, have abillity to score, but when point guard doesnt have at least 7-8 assists in rec, Im like " bro wtf? " Good video bro
Exactly, in Pro-Am it’s more understanding cause it’s a repetitive set offense with teammates you have a lot of chemistry with, the PG & SG are expected to dominate the ball. In Rec though especially with randoms the approach should just be different especially when you’re not efficient, everyone wants their touches, nobody should WANT to lose, and my favorite thing is just shutting down the other PG
I can score when I need to for sure, plenty of 20 & 10+ games, but I need that space to be effective as well as teammates who let me control the offense consistently

I agree a hundred every situation. People need to see they making it more realistic.. Not to mention we not perfect as a species.
People crazy expecting other to be perfect. And half the time those same dudes can miss as much as they want and it is suppose to be okay!

I agree with you the best type of pg is someone who is all around. I have a homie who’s a pg he’s a pass first which isn’t bad but at times he does not look to score and focuses more on assists. As a pg I feel like you gotta know when to flip that switch and turn up especially if the offense is lacking. If you know “Dimework” he’s a very known pg and even he stated being a pass first pg is not it anymore.
Nah I love Dimework’s content, been fw bro since 2K20 + that clip at the end was his. Even if you’re not THAT elite at scoring you still gotta manage to be productive like you said, you can be pass-first not PASSIVE, make yourself a threat
"True" Point Guard has to be like an orchestra maestro. Even when you play with randoms. What matters is controlling the tempo, understanding passing timing, understanding when you have to be aggressive, when you can step backwards to let others rise, when you can step forward by utilizing all the supposed "shiftiness" a PG can have. When I get put at the 2 my hands can reach a certain tingliness watching PGs either being too much of a "passer" to anybody, not realizing that those anybody won't take their open shots or will turnover the ball in hectic ways, or just taking too many erratic shooting choices that makes their teammates wait in agony for a chance to move with the ball
100% agree, it’s times I could be more aggressive as a scorer I’ll admit but I always manage to put me & my team in “easy” situations, gotta stop trusting these randoms so much but at the same time they are at fault too for not understanding spacing & fundamentals in general

Facts, I’m ONLY pass first because I can maneuver into the right spots & my teammates usually can’t space the floor & shit like that, when I play with a real TEAM I go off every time
