@DarlingNikki2 This reminds me of a white guy I was stationed with in the army. He always acted black & made everyone laugh, especially to the black guys. He once told me that white guys just take up space.
Helen: No tom the term is making an ass of yourself Tom: yeah well you cook like a Chihuahua You see helen almost broke character after that line 😂😂😂😂😂
This is the episode brother Tom it is absolutely hilarious. I love how liberal those shows were back, then showing the cultural differences between black and white, but doing it with humor.
Lol...Tom was tripping hard in this episode. The funny thing is, he made a guest appearance on 227, and he did the same, exact thing in that episode too. That time, Brenda and Calvin had him trying to act black.
I don't know how they didn't all bust up when Tom came in with that crazy 'sky' on lol! In all seriousness, I thought Helen was very wrong in her reaction and that Tom was the one who was left feeling out and awkward earlier in the episode. He meant his display as a way of fitting in, not as a way of making fun of or patronizing Black people. Helen could really be blind to the truth of things, including the fact that Jenny was jealous of Alan for looking White (that was another great episode). Love the fact that Tom and Helen were shown as a real regular couple just like George and Louise even though they did have special problems because of outsider views of them.
People absolutely got offended back then lmao. Norman Lear shows were very radical at the time and introduced a lot of scenarios the people regularly spoke out against
As funny as the acting is, Tom was going through a serious personal crisis, feeling socially alienated from his own wife and friends. I've been through a similar situation and it does hurt. After Tom's ridiculous effort to "fit in", Helen had to remind him that she loved Tom for who he really was, and that the act wasn't necessary. Their makeup kiss really pulled at the old heart strings. ❤🥲
Franklin Cover should've won an Emmy for his performance in this episode
😂 I agree
Yes, he was hilariously awkward!
I agree 😂😂😂😂
*THIS will FOREVER be the FUNNIEST episode of The Jeffersons!* 😂🤣😭
Right on baby 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tom at his comical best. 😅
I like it when he asked “bad?”with concern on his face and then he goes “oh, baaad!” 😂😂😂
That made me laugh so hard.
One of the best Tom Willis moments in this series!
This was Franklin Cover’s best episode. He truly showed viewers how funny he could be.
I love that Roxie’s trying not to laugh!
Lol Tom is hilarious!
You cook like a chihuahua - yo mama!! 🤣😂🤣😅
The first time I saw this episode back in the day as a kid and I screamed laughing when Tom said that!

Helen was about to laugh
One of my favorites!🤣
"YO MAMA" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Heeey, easy with the sky!” 😂😂😂
It’s the facial expressions from Helen’s friends 😂😂😂
And her friend was on waiting to exhale saying he's a good man savannah
Helen acts ashamed of the culture she came out of before she assimilated with Tom
That is what really makes it so funny 😂
Helen: No tom the term is making an ass of yourself
Tom: yeah well you cook like a Chihuahua
You see helen almost broke character after that line 😂😂😂😂😂
Not what is it. What it is, what it is. 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, this episode was too funny!!!
Possibly the funniest scene of all ten seasons.
Tom made a ASS out of himself via George Jefferson who taught him how to be cool. 😮😂😅
Thats always how it goes when george tries to give advice 😂😂
Louise's face! She was stunned 😂😂😂
It's like she's seeing another George 😂😂😂
Please POST THE FULL EPISODE ❤😂
I'll appreciate if they post it
Helen: You're up to something - what is it?
Tom: No Helen! Not what is it...WHAT IT IS!!
This is extremely funny 😅😅😅...
One of my favorite episode from the Jefferson lol Bad ass Tom
LOL. Silly Tom. He's too square to be hip 🙃!!
Lol...Tom was tripping hard in this episode.

yeah and it was funny both times.
That's how Tom should act normal‼️🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Then people will run away from dealing with Tom right to left!
2024 and this is still hilarious! I still can’t figure out why he hit George with… ‘yo momma!’ That came out of nowhere! 😂 😂
0:34 Seen in the intro to seasons 8 and 9.
😅😅😅😅😅 thanks bro 😅😅
Helen: Tom; the term is making an ass of yourself.
Tom: O yeah?? Well you cook like a chihuahua 🤣🤣
He walks like his shoes are not his size😂😂
KEWLLLLLLLLLL
Tom goes black and should never go back.😂😂😂
And to think George Jefferson gave him the hip points. The one who hates honk.....whte people
Cool as heck Tom!!
Tom calling George: My main man🤣🤣
❤❤❤
George taught him how to act black but he acts innocent 😂😂😂
Tom was hilarious but was also great
I WHISH TOM continued to act as a black man for about 10 minutes more. Tom nailed it all. He was so funny
You and me both. 👍
@@suzettebennett816 I WISH I WISH I WISH
My favorite episode 😂😂😂😂
I agree. It was way too short. The laughs alone should’ve made them extend his clowning.
Or ten more years!
Yo mama😂😂😂
I loved this episode as a kid. 😂
Tom what it is my man . Yoo mama 😂
Is it just me or does that rug look like someone spilled spaghetti sauce all over it? 😊
He felt bad about being the only white guy.
I almost spit my food out when tom said your mamma.
Thanks for sharing 😂😂😂

My thoughts, exactly. She even reacted negatively when Tom tried to explain why he was doing it.
Heyy easy with the sky 👇🏼👇🏼
Your mama 😂
I picked up a new skyyy
I always thought Helen said your acting like jack ass
3:59 this was just wonderful. "Who cares who we are, just that we care". Everything is all identity politics today, you never see stuff like this
Tom was a very good husband but george was a bad influence
People back then didnt get all offended. Shows were funny.
not really because Helen calls him out on how offensive his behavior was.
People absolutely got offended back then lmao. Norman Lear shows were very radical at the time and introduced a lot of scenarios the people regularly spoke out against
Fun fact, Helen played by Roxie Roker was Lenny Kravitz mother.
