Very nice details on how those panels go on. By the way, I donate a lot of my time at my bike shop so in turn I get work done for free. See if he will let you sweep and take out the trash, etc

Denis Haha nice one Denis. It's ok allready. I help out a lot on my own bike project so we really work together when we build the bike. Also it are all my own ideas so Rezelman only has to do the actual welding or cutting. This also saves time and money. But next to that, he also just enjoys the company and what we are making. It's all good.

I don't think you need those gaskets for the carbs. There should be a rubber O ring in the manifold that is adequate for the job. Looking forward to the exhaust.

Stephen Auty Really sharp comment! It's really important that the manifolds don't suck in any 'false' air. These gaskets do a better job than just the rubber rings. Many times the reason for bad running of the engine is the 'false air' created at this end. But then for instance the carbs who are not completely closed in the sockets of these manifolds. The effect is the same: false air or air leaks.

Another great video @Chiefpep. One thing I am always impressed with is your access to tools and machinery. I can only assume that you are friends with your 'workshop' ? (we call it machine shop here in North America) Because it would be extremely costly to have that kind of time at the machinists if you are paying regular rates.
Keep up the good work! My Virago project has been completed for a while now but I am always curious to see what others are doing.

604Bluelight Thanks for your comment! Well yes and no. It's not my workshop and friend not really. A very, very friendly owner though yes. And I pay for everything we do there. I always tell exactly up front what the plans are and what needs to be done. And I make a cost breakdown and discuss this before we start. Since I'm often at the shop when things are being made we work pretty efficiënt. This saves a little money. But still, these project bikes always cost me too much money an too much time. I guess the satisfaction on the end makes it all worth it... 😊

Wow! Thank you for the honest reply! I have so much more respect now that I know you are not getting any of this work for free! Maybe by the end of this build you will be much better friends with the workshop owner and give you bigger discounts for future builds! :)
Congrats on your 415+ subscribers by the way. Your videos definitely deserve more because of the effort put into them.

I noticed that you added air filter pods to carburetor, could you please give me the reference of that, I was looking online but not sure if they will fit Hitachi carburetors in such small gap between engine cylinders and carburetor. Thank you.

I mention those in so many comments and descriptions... Google: 58mm Pocketbike/minibike airfilters.
