Hi Jessie. When I saw the heading for this video I was wondering how the heck could you possibly make an already beautiful yard look better. Lol. Now I get it and it's so sweet all of you did that for her and her family!! The gift of the furniture, wow, impressive! I have heard of people using cardboard in gardening and it's definitely a great recycling idea plus it saves room at the recycling center!! Everything looks so pretty and your sister looked so happy😍. Great gift!!!!

Siblings are great! I ha ve six and somebody is always needing something replaced or added. We all chip in and get it done. It's so fun and much cheaper!

Loved these ideas!!!!! We just moved to a new construction home and lots of our neighbors ha e money for landscaping. I thought we were stuck with sad dirt. But this gave me ideas for cheep ways to spruce it up and make it nicer than bare dirt. Thanks a million.
It's last so good the past year! If worried about rocks moving there is something called landscaping glue that will help them stay put but allowing water to still drain through.

One of your viewers mentioned bamboo fencing. That would work great to give her some privacy from the neighbors and it is very reasonably priced. You are a good sister and your husband is so handy.
My sister and I had talked about that as well but it was out of stock in our area so we switched gears and are going to be installing a wooden slat privacy trellis in the future.

I really enjoyed watching the transformation of your sister's back yard, moving the shaded seating area over for privacy was a great idea and amazing how lovely the patio eating area became, esp after the power wash. Such a nice thing to do for your sister! A garden is an evolution, this is a really good foundation. Pea gravel is great for hard scape and over time it becomes pretty solid.

I absolutely love the way this turned out! Your info has helped more than you know. We're in our new-to-us house with a *massive* side yard and we're trying to come up with ideas for seating/entertaining areas. I had no idea that there was more to it than just setting up the furniture. 😲

It looks fantastic! One of the first places we lived we had a chain link fence between our property and the neighbors and I hated the no privacy. What we did was use rolls of bamboo fencing and attached it to the chain link. Since her fence is shorter you could run some strips of wood and attach to chain link so you could extend the height. The bamboo fencing was 5 or 6 feet high and wasn’t very expensive. Just an idea.
We did actually talk about that! The bamboo was out of stock in our area when we were looking. I have since seen it back at Home depot but we decided to build a tall wood slat trellis that she is going to grow climbing plants and also hang bistro lights on. The bamboo idea is a great one though!

I appreciate your posts SO much. I love working in my yard and it has come a long long way from what it used to be. We are going to take down our current deck and do a bigger one next summer. I wish we would have used a thicker weed barrier lol. We had so many areas we were doing and out of trying to save money I went cheap... I pay for that now with having to weed all the dang time 😅. But this was my first home and so I didn't have the knowledge I needed at all.
But mostly I came here to say that your video helped me calm down while I was on the verge of a panic attack just a little bit ago. My blood pressure has been hard to control during this pregnacy. I'm 16 weeks and being heavily monitored because of a miscarriage in 2018 and ectopic that I had emergency surgery for in jan. But when my bp gets high I start panicking and leads to an attack sometimes. I happened to look down at my phone and saw the notification for your video pop up and here I am. Thank you 💖
