My favourite way to win the trade war is poke a termagaunt out onto a objective. If you do nothing I get primary. If you move something that will kill it I let you then rez back, if you move something onto the point that wont kill it but will out oc me I reactive move more on, if you move something on that will kill the full squad and out oc me I reactive move off the point.

That’s incredible. The endless swarm strat is super strong. Good use of those gribbly dudes!

god I wish they hadn’t nerfed that into the ground. 😢

Tyranids can also have fun by infiltrating Leapers, before Rapid Ingressing a Lictor (for 0CP) in a prime position to bait out a charge - which will let the Leapers Heroic Intervene (also 0CP). And between Strike First and a fair few attacks, you can put out a surprising amount of hurt for a measly 205pts of screening elements.

Absolutely! I love our lictor like units. A lot of tricks can be pulled off with them.
      Thanks for watching!

Just wanted to say, thanks for these great tyranid videos. Just started playing 40k and tyranids have always been my favourite.
All the videos have been very informative without the bloat or lack of information.

Really like your videos so far! Maybe you could do some "Into to Tyranid Tactics Videos" I'm a very new player and I see the following referenced a LOT: " run gargolyes" "Meelee warriors are better that shooting" Tervigons + termagant combo" . Short form videos of these combos would be SUPER helpful and could go across any detachments, lists, etc. I'm sure these kind of combos are basic to the normal nids player but would be a good resource that I currently haven't see here outside of some massive army tactic video. Very good vids so far tho, keep it up!

Thank you for the great content. I am new to Tyranids and have started playing Vanguard Onslaught. The units are cheap, but after playing Templars, I have trouble getting used to how fragile everything is! Am I correct in thinking you need to send in several units to fully kill something, because otherwise, you get wiped out on the backswing? I'm used to having a couple of turns with a unit.

Yes, Tyranids like to control the board and chip away at the opponent. Not too many sledgehammer units that can straight up walking up the field.
Check out my most recent vanguard tactics video if you haven’t already for some cool combos and tactics with the detachment. It’s definitely a fun one style to play the army!

Just stumbled upon your channel and I must say, I really like the content (Nids player wink wink). Subcribed after one vid and started bingeing the rest. I was wondering, what is your approach with deployment, especially with a lot of big monsters. I tend to have at least 5 or 6 big bases in my lists and struggle with deployment. I understand you can put 1-2 in reserve, but still with Pariah Nexus, it seems I lose so much movement running around things when for example the maleceptor only has an 8in move (the model it self doesn't help with long scythes). Thanks in advance, keep doing what you do!

THREAT PRIORITIZATION is soooo important. a model can be as cool and strong and powerful as ever, but a simple group of little guys can slow it down enough to really hurt its influence on the mid-late game. everyone always freaks out when i bring my norns and really they just end up distraction carnifexes that get focused while my little guys sneak onto objectives

    • @WednesdayNightWarhammer
      @WednesdayNightWarhammer  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

Exactly! Norns soak up a lot and do a great job letting everything else score the points you need.
      Thanks for watching!

I'd like to second the "be more aggressive with your neurotyrant".
I had a game against Black Templar and tried this out, and he absolutely melted marines and neophytes. My opponent was desperate to remove him and needed to charge, but I kept two ripper swarms in front to move block. Don't forget, he has the monster keyword and is subject to big guns never tire, so he can shoot the enemy gets within engagement range, and without penalty to hit roll, because of torrent.

I put in reserve the zoanthrope. With only 5p to move they are slow.

Yep! That’s a great call. They do a great job with coming from reserves.

Zoanthropes really benefit from a Hive Tyrant's Onslaught aura. It's still far from perfect, but adding D6" can be the difference between one having a line of sight, or six having line of sight. Another option is to put them in a Tyrannocyte - it's expensive, but the utility of being able to put them exactly where they need to be, turn one, is not to be underestimated. Plus, once they've deployed, you have a dirt cheap screening monster to float around. It's not going to kill much, but have fun wasting your shots on a giant fleshy balloon.

Adaptive biology is a great enhancement to stick on a neurotyrant a 5 plus fnp that goes to 4 plus as soon as it takes damage.

Absolutely! The enhancement is a go to for whenever I’m playing invasion. I played a lot of Zoanthropes, but have recently switched to tyrannofexes. They’re still a great unit though!

In regards to the trade wars bit, I think you'll all be proud of me - I somehow managed to take down a Chaos Knight Tyrant with only two squads of termegaunts at my local hobby shop. Granted, the thing exploded and wiped out the survivors, but I'll take the win
