Just a fun little project. I doubt it will end up on my bike permanently, but I think it should keep me occupied for a few days. Here's the code. github.com/cod...
If your bike has a neutral indicator, you could use that signal to reset the code and also it would be more convenient for you to recode the numbers as 1,0,2,3,4,5
Yeah, tracking. This still never made it onto my bike, but if it does I would likely do that. As far as the convenience of using 0 instead of N, I think that's a non-issue. It's been more than a year since I looked at the code or this project in general, but I don't think there was ever any problem there. It's just printing a character instead of an integer. Oh, wait. This video is the first prototype where I was using an LCD. I did it again with an OLED and used a capital N. I think I have a video of that on here as well.
Hello i did something similar to this using a raspberry pi pico but i dont know how to implement it to the bike do you have any ideas? I dont really think i can place it on the gear lever
Yeah, sorry. I've been meaning to put a link in the description for ages now. Give me one min. Ok, it's now in the description. BTW, this is an older video. I have switched over to Hall effect sensors and an OLED screen. You can find that video on here as well.
