the worst part of pj sekai is that they don't credit the writers of events so i have no clue who to thank for delivering such good stories for what really is just a random vocaloid mobile game

I'm still not a fan of the characters, but the writing is good.
For real Mizuki is sure the character that has the longest development arc in the game. Usually in the focus event each charcater will have their own way to solve their problems but not for Mizuki. Even in the mystery tour event it's only a plot, and in kanade, mafuyu 2nd focus, the picnic and the festival, they are all plots to Mizuki's past. Until this event, it's still another big plot and it's already painful to watch. Please let Mizuki solves their problem in the upcoming focus event, thank you for the translations 😭
Something that i noticed is that in the Mizuki's cards of carnation recollection and sounds of a summer festival, they also talk about Mizuki's feelings that kinda hint to how Mizuki is feeling
I'd argue Mafuyu's arc started in the 2nd event story ever, and still hasn't concluded.
25ji's first arc is over. Here's hoping for solutions to Mizuki and Mafuyu's problems, Ena will able to help Mizuki while growing confident in her artistic skills and Kanade will reconnect with her dad. Thanks for the translation.
Gonna be perfectly honest, the game trying to rush Mizuki and Ena's relationship from the start of the game was a really bizarre idea because I hated their argumentative friendship until I read the events. These two probably have my favorite relationship in the game and I care about the two of them so much now, that it almost insults me the development of this relationship that was so good happened after it was established. This is genuinely one of the best friendships I've ever seen written and unlike a lot of shipping culture I genuinely feel like these two could have feelings for each other further than just being friends. Especially Ena. And yet it was only really allowed to happen because funny arguments = good ship to people.

I liked how their relationship developed though, it can seem rushed when you just read the main and event stories but I really like the side story where they first met in real life. You can see there how ena didn’t really like mizuki at first but then she realised that they’re a nice person, it’s so nice to see how they got closer and closer

Changes doesn't come in an instant, it takes time. But the environment and the people around then could help fasten that process. Mizuki as of now is surrounded by people with their own share of problem that help each other overcome. Kanade's guilt, Mafuyu's depression, Ena's self esteem and Mizuki's doubt. Mizuki from the start has been the middle ground to ease up the tension between the group member and surely they will also help them get over whatever past they went through no matter how long it takes. Even if it's longer than to finally make Mafuyu feels everything like a regular person

I have so much to say about this event, I feel like I could write a whole novel just about my feelings. Starting now, this is my favorite event. I cried so much in this chapter gosh. I'll always respect Ena for being the only one who realizes Mizuki is suffering. The fact she came to school in search of Mizuki just to tell them that she will wait an eternity for Mizuki just shows how close their friendship is. The way Mizuki is moved by Ena's words and the fact they get so shocked that Ena thinks of them as a friend 😭🥺 Mizuki, Ena will stay with you until the very end so there's no need to worry. The story writing in this event is so amazing, the voice actor behind mizuki did such a good job, everything about this event was perfect!!!! If pjsekai were to ever shut down, I hope we get to see Mizuki finally find the courage to tell Ena and the others about their secret. Gonna go look for fics and fanart cause I need to recover from this amazing event.

It is inferred that Mizuki was assigned male at birth with the way Mizuki's classmates judging them for the way they dress and in Kamikou Fes flashback where they dress in male uniform and has shorter hair. As you can see now tho, Mizuki dresses femininely now and loves to wear cute things so Niigo members are not aware of this

Sometimes, I feel like I'm seeing my reflection every time I see Ena, it's not because I look like her physically or anything... It's because her personality... And the way she thinks, I've always been bad at arts and gives up as soon as I see my art. I'm always fighting with my sister, I'm not in very good terms with my parents either.
Now that I'm in touch with my friend again, I feel like... It's definitely that... They're definitely a reflection of Mizuki. I'm sure of it. Even though they really don't have the courage to tell anyone about it, they admire people who are able to. They didn't tell me directly about their issue but I'm sure that it has something to do with what Mizuki is going to right now.
Just like Ena, I want my friend to tell me about it someday. It's fine if it's not me. It's fine if they're not ready for it. I just want them to tell anyone about it, I want them to tell anyone because it'll surely help their minds enlighten, even if it's just a bit... I want them to be happy.

I feel like we wont have Mizuki’s character development for a long time. Not that im complaining, I love how with other characters they get character development and get help in their focus events. But with Mizuki, it’ll take awhile for them to be able to tell their group members the “ secret “.

They're amab as seen from the Kamikou festival event, and since they have a feminine appearance in the present they are either nonbinary or a trans girl. Crossdressing doesn't seem likely anymore, they wouldn't be so afraid to admit that, but coming out to people is scary which is what Mizuki is worrying about in this whole event.

I may get hated for this.......but.
7:00 it was at this moment I started to not like Mizuki as a character. Don't get me wrong I don't hate Mizuki, I can see why they are acting that way and understand where Mizuki is coming from. But trying to maintain the same friendship without wishing for it to change, especially with using a lie, not only it can never work but also it can lead into arguments and bonds possibly be destroyed. And to make it worse Mizuki knows that it would happen eventually if Ena or the rest of Nightchord found out about it.
Again I don't hate Mizuki and I can understand where they are coming from and why Mizuki is acting like that. I'm just not a fan of thier decision in the end.

mizuki is not a crossdresser, it's not confirmed what their gender is but it's pretty easy to rule that option out based off what we know. they're heavily trans coded
also, where in the game does it say that ena is straight and thus, can only date mizuki if they're male? ena could always be sapphic, which would mean she could date mizuki even if they are trans or nb
