Why did the sound department choose to put a sound to the owls wing beat? Owls fly near completely silent. You wouldn’t hear it flying full speed even if it was right next you you.

An owl hooting next to your home in my culture signifies death. Even for all the science I know I can't explain why it comes pass.
2:36 This explains Futurama and the infestation :P
Awesome video. 🌻🌻🇮🇳
Like 500 love it
I once had an owl friend
It would come and go from the forest ti the top of a block of flats
We got on well for quite some time
Heaven knows what it fed on , when he wasn' t coming , I missed his voice call
Since then ,more blocks built by the foot of the mountain
They sound like kittens
Th king of owul
They put the feather sound effects. Owls don't make sound when fly
What did they call barn owl's before there was a barn?

Needs volume adjusting. Hard to hear the narrator over the bird noises.
This bird hunting time is in night
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This seems like an old clip
Ede wow
It seems like a lot of other predators and destruction of habitats are what's destroying the Barn Owl
Destruction of habitat it is primarily, since competition from other owls is what they have adapted to
@@gutemorcheln6134 I am not talking about threats from other Owls, I am more talking about threats from other predatory birds such as Hawks mainly who are their main enemies and Eagles.
@@curtflirt2 Still though competition from any other predatory bird whatsoever is something barn owls are adapted to, hence their ability to rapidly respond to food abundance with their highly adaptable reproduction patterns. Anthropogenic habitat destruction on the other hand is something completely new to them
@@gutemorcheln6134 Well I wouldn't be to sure about that, here in certain states, they are in trouble due to being preyed upon by Hawks and Eagles. Hawks love to kill Barn Owls, there are even videos on here about it
@@curtflirt2 Yes of course they do. In general smallish owls are frequently preyed upon by hawks as well as by larger owl species. But the main reason is habitat destruction, plain and simple. If the old trees and pastures barn olws need still existed they could easily mitigate the losses suffered by predation, but in our "modern" agricultural landscapes they simply don't find enough food nor suitable nesting sites anymore, and that's the major issue

OVO
"Growing up can be a boring business"-- the very first line is exactly why I don't watch nature documentaries even though I'm obsessed with animals. A) "Growing up" is never and should never be called "a business" and B) to call growing "boring" can only be boring to the perspective of the narrator. I'm sure the little owls are learning something new everyday and their parents are occupied keeping them fed and safe. Sigh. This is why I've never liked Nature Documentaries: the perspective.
thanks for letting us know

Hey, it looks like you have a mop on your head, buddy. A little respect and take it off. Don't go "modern"! Cut your hair, you are almost bald and you are older ...!. We are only interested in what you do, what you know how to do, what you show and teach here ...
Cool
