It's a tragedy that Bungie gave up on it. It would take so very little effort to get players into the mode. They literally tried nothing and ran out of ideas, then said that.
New project: freindly guide to gambit that very quickly outlines the dos and dont's, as well as explaining why they matter, then have it as a link to send if your stuck w a few, interesting creatures.
Had no idea powerful attraction scooped up motes. I found lots of success using arc hunter melee build with supremecy, rocket sidearm and thunderlord. Can't imagine the devestation caused if you were on my team with your strand titan as well.
When playing gambit solo (which is always my situation) I recommend using a well rounded build, my favorite is combo blow hunter to spam powerful attraction, and any two specials work. rn im running a kinetic sniper (one shot invaders), dead weight (onetwopuch thats easy to get, lets you instakill most majors/hivals) and eyes/death bringer as a power (both are good, but db feels better/is safer in invades, while also being better for dps on boss.) another fun build is warlock with edge of intent/ kranstines for perma restoration times 2 (just get a finisher)
I'm very against using glaives in gambit unless you're with a stack of a strong invader also capable of defending. Glaives generate 0 orbs, does not count as ability kills, basically wasting the best resources in gambit, which are the adds. Usually onle one can get super by the 2nd wave, using glaives make sure no one gets it.
@@BarderBetterFasterStronger Oh I like gambit as a concept, just that after 7000 hours playing the game and 0 updates I feel like I have nothing more to explore!
I use assassins cowl/edge of concurrence for ad clearing and mote grabbing. I then hotswap to lucky pants malfecense for Primevil phase. Makes Gambit wins very easy
Ive hit global rank 6 with mostly solo que. I have to say sunbracer warlock is just the best with izi + trench shotty and eager. But if you are going to play titan then arc is significantly better due to strand having difficulty with up time and mass ad clear. Gambit is still way better in a fireteam cause you really just need 1 ad clear and 1 invade/anti. Doing both roles in solo can be annoying due to teamates stealing portals and getting 0 kills or teamates feeding motes to invades. I dont agree with dumping onto boss on 2x, you want to wait till after enemy invades at 4x. Either way the most important thing to know about gambit is that invades entirely control the match.
Yeah invades are for sure what decides games, I think the first invade more so than others. If you can deny the first 40 motes its hard to come back from that
While sunbracer warlock is strong, especially in the current season due to artifact mods, it does not compare to strand titan. While sunbracers may have be able to clear wave faster that hardly matters in solo Q if you have teamates who are not picking up motes due to you moving too fast between wave to wave. Strand titan still has more then fine ad clear while having immensely higher damage. If you take artifact out the equation then the gap is even bigger between strand titan and solar warlock as solar warlock loses access to debuffs on solar abilities making the primeval damge only decent. If you play strand titan even semi-optimally you should not have any large downtime if any at all. Playing off of your tangles is a big part of strand titan, whether you are throwing the tangle on the ground to get woven mail or to use the tangle to keep your grapple. Solo Q causes you to essentially do everything yourself which means you will be able to build a super garunteed for primeval on the off chance you do need the extra damage/melee refresh. Once again for primeval playing off of your tangle is what pushes strand titan dps to the max. Creating tangles off of envoys to use at boss plus a mix of melees is more then enough damage to solo carry. Waiting on the enemy to invade on x4 is just a terrible idea as you are wasting time when you could have just sent the next phase. Even if it takes you to 8x to kill primeval that is better then waiting for the enemy to potentially spawn primeval and pull of an x4.
PRIMEVAL INVADING: you should NOT wait until they hit first health gate as once Slayer x4 is up, there are MULTIPLE ways to instantly kill boss from gate health and even a couple from full. At boss, when the portal is up just take it and delay their x4 as long as possible. With heal bug still around and common, do NOT rely on heals and instead opt to waste as much time as possible (:
i came back after a multi year break, is arbalest still good? i’m the only one using it and i already reset my gambit rank, i think it’s good, but ive seen literally nobody rock it
That glaive is nuts. How is the farm for it? Only ran ghost of the deep once all the way through and helped a friend farm the boss for a few weaks and actually got the navigator before him lol
I came back after a couple of years break, my friends get like 750 xp per win but I only get 350, there is a reason to that or I'm bugged or something?
I'll be honest, I did expect this to be an April Fool's joke. re: 2 I would add, make sure to send an invader before you summon if the portal is open, no reason to lose an invade. re: 3 Personally, I feel the opposite. Dumping heavy and supers on the first phase seems like a waste. One person, maybe, but that first health gate comes fast and if you're not a well coordinated team doing burst damage together, you're wasting damage. Waiting until the second or third phase when you have more stacks allows you to melt the boss with you're high damage supers and heavy.
Good point on getting an invade before the primeval. I think for primeval bakes it just depends who you are with, if solo queue you have to expect teammates to be using polaris or something. But if stacked then yeah its better to even out when to pop supers
@@DuqkD2 I solo queue, so there’s no coordination. So, for damage I prefer to hold high damage stuff for the higher multiplier. I really hate when everyone pops super immediately, and then has nothing left for phase two and three.
@@Welverin definitely pop super for the first round, but save heavy used for invasion. A decent build would have another super by the 3rd round, which is why I'm against using glaives.

Gambit is one of the best game modes with a fireteam. To be honest. I think it’s surpassed Crucible in terms of fun

This man even pronounced "connaisseur" the right way, gotta give a sub at this point 😂
As a 10x gilded Dredgen, I appreciate this presentation.
What an awsome Video! Shotgun with Glaive actually changed everything for me lol. Never thought about Double special Weapons before
Great tips ! I can't even express how much I die inside whenever players don't bank after the second wave
It only happens every game :DDD

I love gambit, but invading with xeno? Come on man. Whisper is perfect for that! Step your game up! ❤

Thank you :D and Maven has some fantastic content too!
Agree on the glave. Just running anyone ensures I always get the most motes.

There's some map + enemy type spawns were you can't get 40 in 2 wave . Like last season if you got fallen emerald coast the max you could get was 37
Gambit is so much chaos, rage and fun. Bungie just needs to spice it up a bit.
Gambit is good, especially now that it will never change. It has so much options to customise and make a working build.
Great video. Thanks mate!
Is there something I don't know my eager edge sword doesn't work at all" in gambit at the moment. Works everywhere else always
I think its currently disabled in all pvp modes

I can never find people to squad up with in Gambit, anyone have a good place to recommend??

It goes off a streak system so the more games in a row you play up to 5 the more xp you get
