Beautiful airplanes. I'm setting up to build a 1/4 scale RC model of a Stearman P-17. Believe it or not, some of the "real" flight instruct actually translates into RC flying. Great video.
I learned to fly a Stearman at the U of I in 1961. What a lot of fun. Tough little plane. Had to be since I was doing full stall landings from 10 ft above the field in the beginning.
How funny, I found this video thanks to your video! Thanks for being a great recourse for us young guys to get into warbird flying! Gotta keep em flyin’ through the generations!

This was fun :) Found it after publishing my Stearman training video tonight, and this one was recommended beside it :)

Didn't expect to find flightchops out in the wild on TH-cam
Great video. It has been years since I have flown in a Stearman. I will never forget the thrill of flying in a Stearman!

I had the opportunity to fly in a Stearman at Dillingham airfield in Hawaii great fun.
My Dad was a flight instructor and flew the Stearman and Ryan PT-22. Mostly based in Tucson AZ and Biloxi Miss.
Great and very instructive film for beginners!
McDribble...is that George "Alfalfa" Schweitzer?
I'd really like to fly one of those.
And just think you could have bought one for $150 after the war. That's a brand new one. Used for $75.
Great video! Anyone know if that was filmed at NAS Glenview, Il.? It looked like it may have been.
HA !!! Don Rickles and Alfalfa what a scream !!
