Was it really that impossible to just fix up the SRT? I feel closing it for 1 year and doing huge maintenance vs 7 years and a one stop subway was the better alternative. Also what would happen if they just kept it open until the green line extension opens. what is 7 more years of RT gonna do in the long run. smh, NO ONE wants to take a bus.
considering the SRT is a decade pass it's expected lifespan, it would be way more expensive to upkeep than to do the stopgap option of a busway and waiting on the Line 2 Extension

Horrible idea. The RT railing should be considered an investment. The bus is a downgrade.
Hmmm. A diesel bus to replace a train for SEVEN YEARS.
So instead of fixing it or making things safer they just stop the services altogether and replace it something less efficient
