Pity, we missed Anton Karas in Vienna on our honeymoon in Vienna, but were able to purchase a Franz Novy Zither with Anton's signature in it. Marvelous! I can play along with him now on the internet.
What is the make and model of the zither in the photo? I am about to buy a vintage zither, and could not find one online that looks like it, but yours is pretty much a twin! The bridge and saddle, plus the oval sound hole match perfectly. The one I am looking at is an August Schulz zither, no listing if it is a concert or Alpine, nor a date specific to its build. Thanks!
